You don't need to bend the arm stay brackets, you just put them on before the plastic caps. Also these models are just cheap Chinese crap now. I bought the 7 line for $671 @ Bunnings, would not recommend.

Yeah that's the only thing I came to the video for. He just twisted something quickly and that was that.

"the loose tie-off is exactly as per the instruction video". What instructions? what a joke, would take this company 5 minutes to make a real video on how to do the wires. Also the amount of wire they give you is barely enough to go around, tails have to be kept tiny to do the knots, nothing like as shown in the video

As children we used to swing on those old Hills Hoists - do it now and a nasty accident will happen with these latest cheap crappy imitations. Not the same at all.

The new heritage units are not the same as old ones. I just bought a replacement bottom Standard to repair a 30year old version. The new one is terrible quality. Very thin metal. Can't see it lasting long. Pretty disappointed

These newer electro and zinc plated examples are quite piss poor in comparison to the older galvanised originals. I need to lower mine about 15cm so the wires can be reached from wheelchair height. I have a drill to notch the pipe for the raising mechanism locator, my 2" Rigid pipe cutter and a cut off blade. Now, do I shorten the Main standard at the windbreak or below the winder mechanism? I think that below the winder mechanism as at the windbreak would would shorten and cause the secondary standard to bottom out?

@1:09 What the actual F are you screwing into? Is there a designated hole for windbreak screw or what????? Because I certainly don't see one. I screwed it in and it just flexed the pipe inward, clotheline works fine but doesn't look very smart considering is costs $600

Do you have a video on the Hills Heritage Rotary 6-Line 40m Galvanised Steet? My plastic plug doesn't sit into the groves of the main standard

You actually should wish they were Japanese because if they were, they'd be heaps better quality than what you see in this video! Maybe you meant Chinee?
