It seems to me you would mount the center pole in concrete and let it setup for a day prior to installing the arms, stays, top cap, upper assembly and wire.

Is this product still made? I can only find flimsy, half-plastic, rotary clotheslines that have no chance of lasting or standing up to my local (windy, rainy) Seattle weather. I was about to decide I had to DIY it if I wanted something sturdy, but this looks like it could work. Sounds like maybe an Aussie company? If that's right, I don't see any of their products now that haven't replaced the crank mechanism and other bits and bobs with plastic, but maybe I just don't know where to look.

I am replacing my umbrella clothesline. I want to use the existing pole that is solid in the ground and put the new pole inside it. Problem is that the new pole is larger than the one in the ground. I need some suggestions please on what I need to make it work.

Just dig 20 cm more and you don’t need a concrete
