Manoj Borase was in the fourth semester of his Diploma engineering when he decided that he must quit engineering and pursue a career in chess! Believe it or not, Manoj was unrated. With sheer belief on his abilities, he took this decision. He worked hard and won the C-category of Mumbai Mayor's cup taking home the cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000.
But very soon Manoj faced financial problems for which he had to compromise his chess career. He started a chess academy in Dhule where he slowly built a strength of 320 students! He then started working for the adivasi children by teaching them chess!
This is a story of man who has thought outside the box and never given up. Listen to the inspiring story of Manoj Borase, as he takes steps once again towards his dream of becoming a GM.
