Oh loni. Bruce is not struggling with health care bills. Man is one of the greatest actors and could have retired years ago. Also being happy that "at least he's there" is the saddest comment you can make. That's a very low standard to give the father of her child. So what if he's bored? Rub her feet, watch 'the real' with her. She's in excruciating pain. Bringing a damn console. That's just embarrassing. My husband brought the console for our second kid. I didn't think it was a terrible idea. It actually was a good distraction at times. We both played it when I wasn't in pain and he played alone when I wanted rest. All the nurses loved coming in our room because we were considered the fun couple. He still took care of me the whole time, got me juice, ice chips, soup, even ran down the nurse when it was time to push. It's all about balance and realistic expectations.

I mean even for working people in the US, a health issue can make you go broke. We treat it like a commodity. Bruce is 67. He’s nearing his 70’s. It’s hard to watch people get older especially when they start getting health issues which can lead to them losing their personality, sense of self, their joy and passions. I believe that’s what’s impacting his family (just what I took away from his daughters post). I don’t believe he had a problem with health insurance. The guy sold a $27 million dollar beach home just several years ago. For us normal folk, when we are employed by a company then yeah.. we pay for health insurance through their benefits offered. With film actors, they aren’t hired as an employee of the company so they aren’t bundled into company benefits. They’ll film for several months then move on to their next project. He’s also a multi-millionaire. He has the opportunity to step back and focus on his health. I watched my grandfather continue to work 12 hour days when his body and health were screaming for him to rest and take better care. But my grandmother didn’t work to take care of her mother who is in her 90’s and he was the sole provider. I wish we were millionaires so I could prove the opportunity for my grandparents to step back from working and focus on their health.

Those multimillionaire have a lot of expenses and in many instances they aren't just supporting themselves. They are usually supporting everyone in their families and more. So don't be so quick to judge. Additionally, these celebrities are creating jobs for many. The stylist, management etc. all have a job because of those people. So if health care is provided for them, I see no issue with that. If we want health care to be a human right, then every human including celebrities should be made entitled to same.

IIRC, he actually acted in at least EIGHT movies released last year--most of them cameos or small parts. Basically, he was in and out and got a check. He had so many roles that the Golden Raspberry Awards had a special category set up this year just for "Worst Bruce Willis Performance." The Razzies are held the day after the Oscars, and they rescinded the award (and another retroactively for Shelley Duvall in "The Shining") after Willis' family made the announcement. He probably went after these smaller roles as he didn't want--or couldn't handle--the heavy lifting of a leading role. But I agree with you in that if a small role here and there could help slow the progression and keep him happy, he should go for it.

@@Niki91-HR Medicaid covers the unemployed and disabled. It is socialized healthcare. It operates in the same way as other socialized healthcares do. It was not previously widely available but Obamacare has since dealt with that issue so there is no reason why anyone in America would be without healthcare unless they are illegal or unless they CHOOSE not to apply for any healthcare. Even if you have some kind of universal healthcare it still aint on the level like in the most countries. But I guess Medicaid is a small start. Which is good. Healthcare should be affordable. Though I have to say that your fellow Americans do like us to call socialists because of that and some other things. 😅 it became even a running gag between us in Europe 🙈🤣
@signalfire15
2 жыл бұрын
@@Niki91-HR You are right. The insurance doesn’t cover everything. There is still the deductible and the out of pocket maximum such as co-pays but no one is going bankrupt from these amounts. If you have a HDHP (high deductible health plan) through an employer, the employer is legally required to offer an HSA, FSA or other savings account to combat the deductible. For example - I have a HDHP through my job and my company offers me an HRA which reimburses me half the cost of my deductible. Contributions to these accounts are also tax deductible. American healthcare is very expensive. And of course our socialized healthcare is not on the level of other countries that have universal healthcare because we are a capitalist nation. We have a capitalized health care system with socialized healthcare options for those who are unable to choose due to disability or unemployment, etc. But, as capitalism works, the mindset is that every able bodied person in America who has the ability to work and can afford their own should be able to choose the health care that they want and what works best for them. Look nothing is free, if you’re not paying for it it means that someone else paid it FOR you. And btw I am from a country where socialism is rampant. Socialism is cancer.

I don’t have any kids, but if my boyfriend/husband did that, he better bring two controllers because i want to play too. If he brought one, im pissed. Then he needs to pause the game if im feeling uneasy, pain or whatever women in labor go through.

I see no issue with him playing a video game as long as he’s in the same room

What's the difference between watching TV n playing a video game?. Especially when the games are accessible on the phones?. Let men have something to calm their nerves.

When guys show you thier true colors, listen to them. Honey if video games is that important to him, you should NOT be giving him the greatest gift a women can give a man on earth. I'm sorry, regardless how long it takes, his mind should be wrapped enjoy the last moments of it just being the two of you. Bc life is going to change, and hopefully he will choose to help with the baby vs playing a video game.
