Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups all pupose flour
Rapid rise instant yeast
3/4 cup warm milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
3 Tbsp sugar
3 Tbsp melted butter
Filling
1 1/2 Tbsp cinnamon
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup Butter softened
Icing
3 Tbsp butter softened
8 oz cream cheese
1 1/2 cup powered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Put 2 3/4 cups of flour, 1/2 tsp salt and 3 Tbsp sugar into mixing bowl
Whisk it togther and set the dry ingredients to the side
Melt 3 Tbsp of butter
Warm up 3/4 cup milk in the microwave ( the milk should be warm not hot )
Mix the milk and melted butter togther
Whisk in the rapid rise instant yeast into the milk and butter mixture until it dissolves
Mix in the vanilla extract
Put in the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients
Put in 1 egg room temperature
Mix the ingredients together with a wooden spoon until the dough starts forming
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface
( If the dough is sticky add about 1 Tbsp of flour at a time until dough is no longer tacky )
Kneed the dough for about 5 minutes
Place dough in a greased bowl loosely covered for about 10-15 minutes
While the dough is resting make the filling
Take 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, 1 1/2 Tbsp ground cinnamon mix it together
After resting the dough, use a rolling pin an roll it into a 14x8 rectangle
Spread 1/4 cup softened butter all over the dough
Spread the cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the butter
Roll up the dough to make a 14 inch log
Cut the dough in 9-12 rolls
Place the rolls into a lightly greased 9 inch cake pan
Cover the rolls with saran wrap and let them rise for 45 minutes or until they double in size
Bake the cinnamon rolls at 350 F for 20-25 minutes
While the cinnamon rolls are baking make the cream cheese icing
Blend 8 oz of cream cheese, 3 Tbsp butter softened, 1 tsp vanilla extract & 1/2 cup powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Let Cinnamon Rolls cool for 5 minutes
Ice them
Serve&Enjoy!!!
