Homemade fried chicken wings are a delicious snack

The materials you need to prepare are: 500g chicken wings
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of cornstarch
1 egg
1/2 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of paprika (optional)
Oil for frying
Instructions:
1.Prepare the Chicken Wings:
Wash the chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels.
Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the chicken wings and mix well.
Optionally,add paprika and garlic powder for extra flavor.
Let the wings marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
2.Make the Coating:
In a large bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch.
In another bowl, beat the egg and add the milk, stirring until well combined.
3.Coat the Chicken Wings:
Dredge the marinated chicken wings in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Dip the floured wings into the egg mixture, ensuring each wing is fully coated.
Return the wings to the flour mixture for a second coating.
This double coating will ensure a crispy exterior.
4.Fry the Chicken Wings:
Heat enough oil in a deep pot to 170°C (about 350°F).
Carefully place the chicken wings into the hot oil, frying a few at a time to prevent overcrowding and a drop in oil temperature.
Fry the wings for about 8-10 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy, and the inside is cooked through.
Use tongs or chopsticks to turn the wings occasionally for even cooking.
5.Drain and Serve:
Remove the fried wings and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Optionally, sprinkle with additional salt or your preferred seasoning and serve hot.
These crispy and juicy fried chicken wings can be enjoyed with various dipping sauces like ketchup, chili sauce, or honey mustard.
