I've never had halo-halo before but I've heard so many good things about it! The traditional recipe looks sort of similar to Vietnamese che ba mau

OMG...memories of growing up! We used to crush ice with a tool with a hand crank! My mom used to make chocolate oatmeal for us before school instead of chocolate rice (although we had that too). I have everything except macapuno! The asian food market here in FL doesn't have any, but I have kaong, red bean, coconut gel, and langka! I need to make this soon! Will buy your cookbook...I just have to get my iPad working again.

Omg RIGHT?! When that hand crank shows up you know it’s about to be a good time 🤪 and yes I also usually make chocolate oatmeal instead of rice when I made champorado! So yummy!!! Thanks so much for supporting my cookbook! Also you can access it on a computer and phone!
