Finally back to work on the Home Made plywood boat! i have let this project drag on long enough so now i am finishing it up hope fully in 3 to 4 weeks!
in this video i had to make some corrections to the transom due to the fact that this is a completely improvised boat and i don't have any plans, or set design details. just wining it... as i am prone to do.
Did i mention most of the building was done in the living room. you can see the details in part 1 of the boat build.. before attempting to build a boat in the living room, make sure your significant other is OKAY with it....don't ask me how i know this.
This boat is an exercise in simplicity of design and construction. i wanted to build a boat with little hassle, out of common materials, that i could put a small engine on and cruise the river at a leisurely pace on the weekends.
this is boat has no plans, molds or requires any special lofting or anything that is typically required of building a boat. a stitch and glue boat would have been MUCH lighter. but lofting the patterns would have made that method more of a production than i wanted.
