I am 79 years old and am not able to farm, but I do have a raised bed garden. There’s just something about spring that makes me want to turn dirt and plant something. I have figured out why I love you guys so much, it’s because you don’t go into politics and Andy always finds an upside to any problem. Nothing seems to get him down. With the great attitude that y’all have you should live a long life. God has really blessed y’all.

Your so right. It so much reminds me of when I was military and would get to come home. Travel many hours to get here, so tired and come through the door, give everyone hugs and your wanting nothing more than to go to BED !!! Lol but nope I’d have around 4-5 hours left of talking ! 😮. As a young man that first night was dreadful but now I miss them so much !!!

If you don't grind your own coffee, you need to. Coffee oxidizes easily, which degrades the freshness. Grinding your own protects the bean from oxidation until you grind it.

I find ya guys are the real deal..Homesteaders ., I grew up in a family of cooks my grandmother who was born in 1900 cooked all the time homemade meals. My mom was a cook. They both had restaurants both very hard-working women. We did a lot by hand. We didn’t buy too much from the stores and then as we got older and had kids I think I stepped away from a lot of that I still cook, but I stopped gardening back and now I reconnected with gardening about four years ago and I came across y’all and I just Love y’all because it reminds me of the way we grew up and I am addicted to a lot of my veggies that instead of going to the store, I can grow my own from garlic potatoes to carrots to bring beans so cabbages and I’m doing good and I am watching y’all. I feel like you’ll give me a lot of inspiration… God Bless ya 🙏🏽 🌱🌱

Meagan this is how I share herbal information, first I remind everyone that I’m not a doctor, and the most important thing to say is “ this is what I do or this is what I take, or this is how I prepare it,” these words will protect you, also you can say make sure you check with your doctor, if you have any medical problems.” ER nursing is my specialty, I spent time in court as a nurse witness, so I learned a lot, it’s all in how and what you say. Next, I wanted to say that I use my food processor and sometimes my blender to ground my coffee beans and they work well. I never purchase pre ground coffee, only beans. Well, I love you guys, I want to come down for a few days, one day to learn farming, that’s my dream.

My dad had one years ago that was a pet. It had to go everywhere dad went. But, ww do love some bacon. Anyhow, I'm not able to do a lot of what yall do except for having a garden. I find it therapy and I love to watch it grow. I grow not only my garden but all my flower's. People stop by and tell me how much they admire my garden and flower beds. So, I have no questions at the moment except I'm fixing to check out your recipes. You cook like country folk cook!! Have a Blessed Day!!

I just had 1 week notice I would need surgery on my ankle. it’s only been 4 days…I’m stir crazy already! Luckily, we were ahead of ourselves with getting the majority of the garden in. I had started all of our brassicas, tomatoes, peppers. We have had lots of lettuces spinach, beets, rutabagas, radishes all growing early. Anyway watching the chick-Shaw build right now. I’m so glad we decided NOT to get a cow or sheep until next fall. Keep up the great work! Madolyn

guys this is awesome thank you so much , I want to say please don t ever feel apologetic for doing anything the way YOU do it , you just do the way what's right for you and your family, not everyone will agree with you and that s fine but no one has the right to disapprove or judge. so don t worry about it. about the jam cans my husband and I both come from 2 different countries and to this day ,I can tell you people in France and Germany who can ,still do turn their cans upside down and as far as my sister told me , she does it , it helps with getting rid of left over air that may still be in the can , wich is maybe why your cans preserve better that way , and when you are able to, go ahead get monetize because putting these videos out for us is extra work for you and there is nothing wrong for getting paid for your work and you help so many of us learn so many things , i will tell you there are tons of homesteading videos out there a lot of new comers who left the city recently and they are all putting out a lot of stuff trying to make some money with it ,but you guys are the real deal , this is why your channel is growing , once people find you they're staying with you

You don't turn jars upside down because it seals the jar but doesn't sterilize the jar. You must boil filled jars a minimum of 10 min. To sterilize the jar and lid.Try putting lids on finger tight. Use your index finger, middle finger and thumb. Those three fingers to tighten the ring. Most people put rings on too tight. Hope this helps.

Have you thought about teaching Jacob and Maggie how to work on a vehicle by fixing up the truck? Maybe waiting a couple years to actually do it so they'll be a little older and more likely to grasp the information you'll be giving them. Just asking your opinion, but do you think it would be possible to get around the "not giving medical advice" rule by always stating this is what I do and this is how it works for me? You wouldn't be offering any advice to anyone, you would simply be sharing another aspect of your life. I for one, and I'm probably not alone, would love to learn all the wisdom you have about natural medicine and home remedies. I sure do wish there was a way around the giving medical advice rule because most of us viewers would love to learn more about living off the land and would never think of blaming y'all if something didn't work for us. But I do realize there are people out there who look for any way to blame others and extort them for money, so you must be careful.

They don’t recommend anything they haven’t run testing as far as canning go. Many things the USDA doesn’t recommend is common practice in Europe. The Amish down the road completely ignore the USDA and they’ve been putting up forever. USDA is not God. God gave us the ability to assess, critically think, and test things for ourselves.
