Ive got a VT500 with straight pipes. Just bought it from someone who let it sit for a couple years. It keeps stalling out at highway speeds in overdrive, then wont re-start until it sits for about 5 minutes. Could the original jets be the problem?

Hi Kevin and everyone and thanks for the video. I have a 1983 Shadow, the VT500C. After standing still for over a year she kept the minimum but as soon as you gave it the sparkle it went out. So I disassembled the two carburetors and found a 125 in front and a 118 in the back. Why are these numbers so high compared to the book? The exhausts are original. Do you know if the nozzles are M5 or M6? Thanks for the replies

Because it keeps the back cylinder kooler and even and often times not all the time you will see rear cylinder has a smaller exhaust pipe than the front

RPM auto did a carb job on a '86 shadow he had and the rear carb was the problem carb on his as well. Do you think the rear carb has a bigger jet to help keep the rear cylinder cool? kzitem.info/news/bejne/raOisoyEnomAppw
