Are the stock ones just clamped on or did you have to cut and modify?

Hey I just stumbled across your video because I also have a naked ST 1100. I'm trying to figure out a solution to mount my speedometer cluster but I don't want to have to build an enclosure for it. I noticed it looks like you have some sort of like shrink wrap around it or something like that. Can you tell me what you're using and how it worked out for you? I'd rather not build an enclosure just because I don't really have the tools to do it but if that works and keeps the water out then fabricating a bracket would be easy enough.

A lot has changed since this vid, at the time I custom made a vinyl cover just to keep things neat, eventually I changed the speedo to magnetic pick up acewell which is fully sealed and a separate temp gauge which I'd always planed to do but wanted to keep riding until I had the time to redo electrics that it required. I'd tried several concepts before this - none were successful or aesthetic because of the size of the ST dash. The cover did the trick for light rain but come winter I started altering electric for new speedo

Nice video. Finally an exhaust note comparison for st1100 longer than 28sec . What type of exhaust did you go with?-- Your bike sounds great without the baffles in.

I ended up going with an English company - Black Widow Exhaust, great people to deal with and very reasonably prices. model 200SS stainless steal.
