That's how I found The One. I stopped looking. We were together for just over 31 years and married for almost 29 years. He went to be with God this past March. But he's still with me in my heart every single day.

I've never understood this. You find when you're not looking. Surely if its something on your heart or something you're praying about then you can't stop that being on your heart and mind. It's not something that you can switch off. If it's something you're wanting / praying into then you'll always be looking.

@@jollygoodgordon5580 I think you've got the wrong idea. The woman comes to the man, just as much as the man comes to the woman. It's a matter of who makes the first move. If God intends for it to happen, then no matter who does what, they'll be together.

As for modesty , I believe it’s a conviction on your heart. I would never wear a tank top and shorts to church - because it would draw attention and I know it would be ungodly attention . But should I not wear a tank top and shorts to walk along the beach, or hiking up a mountain ? Of course I could!! You just have to ask yourself each day , “what am I trying to say with my attire?” of course it’s “not my fault” if a man lusts after me , but if I love my neighbor, then I should not want to be a stumbling block for him. Therefore I will do my best & seek Gods approval and nothings else .

For the modesty question, this is something that I struggled with as a young Christian lady who had a big role at church. A lot of people looked up to me and my friends and we were always under scrutiny. But the best advice that I ever received was to ask God and ask the Holy Spirit: is this acceptable in your eyes? If you do it with a heart willing to listen to what He says, I promise He won't fail. Even if people still criticize you, you're okay in the eyes of the Father.

In terms of finding the One, for those of you who struggle with contentment...who have tried giving it up to God but for you it's a daily fight to surrender...I just want to encourage you that God's grace is not dependent on your works. So many wonderful Godly women and men are single and many immature people have a boyfriend/girlfriend who is a godly person and adores them. Yes, one should be content in the Lord for one's OWN relationship with him BUT your not being 100% content does not preclude God bringing someone into your life. God will bring someone into your life if he sees that this is a good thing for you; it is an act of HIS love not YOUR good actions. Obey him, walk with him, draw near to him, but do not condemn yourself if gaining contentment in this area is a struggle. Also contentment is a JOURNEY not a DESTINATION. God sees and honours your heart. Sorry guys - not meaning to crash your channel but having been on the other side before I felt it was a really important point to make.

I was also confronted with the modesty question. "Why do you wear this?" "Why don't you wear this?" For a while, i dressed to impress or get the approval of those around me. I wore the same things as my peers to avoid judgement. I even got so focused and so caught up in what i was wearing that i missed the important things. After talking with a friend who was struggling with the same thing, I did some researching myself. I am not saying that the bible doesnt talk about modesty in apparel. But the Lord revealed to me that modesty is so so so much more than clothes. Modesty is in our speech and our way of living. I read a quote in an article that said "Jesus was fully modest when he was naked, raw, hanging on a cross." and that really shifted my focus. I just felt like sharing!

As a Christian, I think that modesty is super important. I admire this video!! For me personally, as a 17 year old young lady, wear skirts below my knee every day. Whether it’s on the beach (I have a swim skirt), playing softball, or just day to day. I often times get asked why I chose to wear a skirt, and I always point people to the scripture Deuteronomy 22:5 “ "A woman shall not wear man's clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.” In other words, a woman should be dressed distinctly from a man Visa versa. Also, the Bible says that our body’s are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19) , and I want to be a holy, modest, representation of my God. While He lives in me, I want to reflect that holiness in the way I dress as well.

About drinking-- if you can be a responsible drinker and you don't struggle with dependency issues, then alcohol in moderation can be fine. As a Christian who has given up alcohol in the past for a season, I learned a lot. I learned that it was my relationship with alcohol or my view of it (was working in a craft beer/liquor store). I learned that I don't NEED alcohol to live a fulfilling life, but I needed to reestablish my view of it. I think it's occasionally ok to enjoy (especially at home). But let God speak to you. Hi Sutton, I had a hard delivery and have since had tailbone low back issues that I’ve been working through. The biggest three things that have worked to make it better are: Hip stretches - find a KZitem video on “yoga hip openers” that you like. Some you can even do from bed after baby is asleep. Foam rolling/soft ball on low back- put either of those where your muscles are tight and role out on them for a bit. Relaxing and effective. Core exercise- I work out and was like, nah I don’t need this. I’m sooo strong, I was very wrong. Core work is more than abs and strengthening these muscles takes pressure off your low back and tail bone. Hope this helps someone!

My husband and I grew up in church together and just got married last October, I was 18 and he was 20. My husband just started as a nurse and I’m pursuing wedding photography. It’s so good to know there’s other young couples who are living their life for the Lord💕

Hi guys! I want to say just how incredible beautiful it is to see how you thoughtfully consider other people's comments and seek further wisdom from the Lord. In terms of the modesty issue, the Lord definitely convicted me about it. One of the things He did was reveal to me how most men see the female body-it was shocking to me! I now wear long skirts and nothing too tight and no tank tops (and def no swimsuits). Skirts are great for keeping cool, and both cotton and linen are excellent, breathable fabrics. May God richly bless you both and continue to keep drawing you closer to Him!

You guys are seriously one of the cutest couples ever. Thanks so much for sharing your story with everyone and for witnessing to what a Christian marriage should be! As a medical student, I wanted to put in my two cents on the back pain and birth control. Sutton, for back pain/tailbone/post-partum issues I would recommend looking for an osteopathic doctor who does osteopathic manipulation (this is NOT a chiropractor). They are physicians who are able to work with the musculoskeletal system to help address stresses placed on the body from injury, illness, or work-related postures (your family doc or OB may even be a DO, so you could start there). If you can't find any DO's in your area, physical therapy may be a good option too. As for the birth control issue, you're right. Contraception is unnatural synthetic hormones we unfortunately are taught to throw at every woman in medical school, and it definitely is closed off to life...not to mention the fact that it creates more problems than it solves for many women. More and more people are learning about fertility awareness methods which can be good alternatives. Some of these methods have a low success rate; however, the sympto-thermal method (which was developed in the 70's by doctors and has been extensively studied since that time) has shown to be as effective (or more) as oral contraceptive pills with common use (or the way most people use it, which accounts for anyone who may occasionally forget to take their pill every day at the same time). In fact, the World Health Organization even cites this statistic which came from a study done in 2013 showing that the STM is 98% effective with common use (www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/family-planning-contraception). I'm not saying this is for everyone, but I would encourage you guys to look into it as you seem to want a more natural alternative to synthetic contraception. I would recommend checking out naturalwomanhood.org to learn more. Okay, sorry that was so long, but had to share. May God bless you! Keep up the awesome videos!

Megan L thank you for all that info! I am currently doing pelvic floor therapy and also seeing a chiropractor. I’ve never heard of the doc you’re talking about but I’ll look into it! Thank you for taking the time to write all of that 🙏🏽💛

I love your videos guys! I don't actually have christian friends (my church is pretty small, I'm from Mexico City) but it's inspiring for me to know that there are more young people trying to follow Jesus, even if they're in another countries or speak other languages. God bless you guys! 💗

You are such a beautiful couple, and you bring so much light to the world of KZitem. Thank you for your videos! It's been so much fun ever since I found you a few weeks ago. Question: What were your individual greatest fears about meeting 'the one' and getting married? And how did those fears dissipate/get fixed afterwards?

What tips or suggestions do you guys have for people who are starting to live a Christian life style? Yes, read the Bible and church, but as far as social? Old friends and family members who aren't Christian? How would I handle people questioning or not respecting my changes?

I believe that modesty stems from your heart and your outward appearance should reflect your heart and not only what the Bible says but personal convictions that the Lord gives you.

I work for a store called the Ultimate back store and we specialize in ergonomics. If Sutton is still needing help with her lower back and tailbone problems I recommend using a memory foam seat cushion with a tailbone cutout. There’s a company called lifeform that makes some amazing ones! ☺️ it takes pressure off the spine!

Fun! We have 4 kids. 2 boys and 2 girls. As I studied about modesty in the Bible it actually referred to flaunting your wealth. Wearing expensive things. But that is never mentioned in talks on modesty.

I love that you really looked into the question about modesty. It’s a physical witness and if we are preaching Christ but cause men to sin I think it sends a message we don’t want to send

Isn't it wierd that always woman are supposed to take care of the mindset and temtation of man? If you chose to pritoritice modesty in the way many people here are doing it, do it for you and your relationship with God but men shouldn't be the main reason for your decision - never should be men the main reason for a womans decision.

It definitely isn’t your main focus when you dress modestly, I was doing a study on this not to long ago, of course we dress in a way to honour God but it goes deeper than that in that we shouldn’t dress in worship in a way to draw attention to ourselves or cause brothers in Christ to sin. It not as simple as saying can’t men control themselves it is that we are to love our brothers in Christ that we’d truly not even want to be a stumbling block. I hope that all makes sense, if not I really do recommend a study on this it’s a great topic I didn’t study it myself to teach anyone anything I just generally wondered about my own wardrobe

If the lower back pain is from weak muscles (possibly due to lower activity during pregnancy), then one of the best things you can do is glute exercises. If you have weak glutes, then your lower back starts trying to compensate, but your spine is not made to handle that kind of stress. It's likely just stress on your back though, and will likely take time to heal, I know some women have even broken their tailbone during pregnancy/childbirth.
