Thanks to your video I went by Panda Express and asked what they used on their Honey Walnut Shrimp. I am Gluten Intolerant and was scared to try the shrimp. I found out they use the corn starch and that it's safe for me. Now when my husband wants to go Panda Express I can join him for a meal. Thank you!!!

"SonShine" I love that!!!!! Yes, I'm already looking at photos of James from when he was born, which is ridiculous because he's only 4 months old LOL. I don't have a salt and pepper shrimp recipe but oh man, I loved that when I ate out at Chinese restaurants. I will start experimenting with that.

@LukNoFurther_

Cooking failure :( hi I love your recipie but somehow my walnuts ended up burning to black crisps. I used brown sugar instead of white sugar to caramelize the walnuts. And then I started to fry them in vegetable oil. It turned black really fast and then melted. Do you know what the problem was? Thanks!
@FifteenSpatulas
8 жыл бұрын
It's important to use white sugar and not substitute brown sugar for this recipe. Because brown sugar is already dark in the pan, it's hard to tell when it's burning, whereas with white sugar you would definitely detect beforehand that it was starting to burn. Also, do you have a thermometer for your oil?
