And in an actual firefight no less, that shit is hard enough at the range. What a fucking Chad. 2. In a lot of states it's not really illegal to carry into a private business that posts a no guns sign, UNLESS you refuse to leave when they ask you to, should they discover you have a gun. And even then it's just a trespassing offense. Be aware however that some states have different laws regarding the legality of this though. 3. It's a damn good thing he did break the mall policy, or this would have been a much bigger bloodbath. If I were a mall patron that day I would sue the shit out of that mall, because by attempting to deny my means to self defense, they assume all liability and put me in greater danger.

The law abiding disclaimer is both unnecessary and harmful for our cause. There’s no such thing as illegal possession of a firearm, only illegal uses. Laws don’t equal morals. What if a wide reaching gun ban happened? So it was illegal to carry a gun. If he ACTUALLY were illegally carrying, what difference would that make? What if it were a “prohibited person” who’s denied the right to carry because a crime they did years ago? What if a felon saved lives with their “illegally carried firearm”? Your law abiding disclaimer wouldn’t apply. Would that make them less a hero or less within their right? Of course not. TL:DR… Basically I’m saying anyone could be made no longer “law abiding” by a stroke of a pen and there are many laws broken every day by people of high morals and virtue, because many laws that control our lives have nothing to do with morality and definitely nothing to do with rights.

He didn't break any laws though, regardless of what places say you can or cannot carry, constitutional carry overrides all of that nonsense. Unless deemed by law, such as government buildings, schools, etc. there is no law being broken. I get this shit all the time in Walmarts in KS where they display "please do not open carry" so I take my sidearm off and tuck in pants at the front door. Some people have a problem with this because now they know I have it, fuck them... I am not breaking any laws. Constitutional carry in Kansas/Oklahoma and Texas, they do not override the laws. Now I could be asked to leave and if I refuse, then I would be trespassing, but if they did that to us all, they wouldnt have any customers.
@MrSheckstr
2 жыл бұрын
The thing is , he never broke the law. There are two different types of laws for these situations Laws of empowerment on behalf of the owner of the business property, and laws of obligation on behalf of the gun owner. A law of empowerment means that the property or business owner (or their authorized representative/ employee) can request a person leave, just because they have a gun, and his refusal means he is breaking trespassing law. This is the law that applies here, and since he was never requested to leave and then refuse he did not break the law. The other law is the law of obligation on the part of the gun owner. These are laws that expressly forbid a person from entering with a gun. Examples of this are school property. If a person Carries a gun onto school property law enforce can act without the person being asked to leave , and obviously without their refusal to leave. You would think someone who worked for the justice department like she claims she did would KNOW the difference….. and you would think she would be honest enough to explain to her viewers the difference ….

I was raised in Missouri. There were firearms in our home. They were in the closet. No locks. No keys. Most of the people with whom I was raised had firearms in their home. We were taught gun safety at an early age. There were no school shootings; no 20 something young men shooting people in public places; or no mass shootings of which to speak. There were hunting rifles, revolvers; semi auto rifles and pistols; and even automatic Thompson’s around. Instead of bashing the 2nd amendment and those who believe in the constitution, can we have a true open and honest discussion about the changes that have perpetuated this narrative? Can we discuss protecting our children’s schools to the same level as the children of our elected officials and celebrities. It is easy to stand on high; point the blame; and degrade the people who support and defend this nation. It is not easy to put aside your agenda and HONESTLY discuss the problems that brought such tragedies to us all. Regardless if he broke a weapon carrying law, regardless if he had a permit or not, regardless if his shots even were luck, he was a good hearted human who stopped a tragedy from getting worse, at the risk of his own life and freedom. Breaking the law may make you a criminal, but being a criminal does not make you an evil person. Its youre reason for breaking the law that determines if you're bad or not. And its about time we as a society get on the same page about that.
