Ego and $$ sadly. I remember at one time when actors where hungry would do conventions and all that now because they get these insane paychecks they think there holier than thou and to be honest this new generation of actors actresses that are churned out by the dozen are not that great. I wanna get into it do B horror movies or other low budget stuff and I would be at these conventions no $$ if no goes to watch the movies or guy them. I also think it's there agent if there not getting paid your not gonna see whom ever at anything. Thing is it's the actor not the agent they ant to see.

Sid Haig was such a sweetheart, while I met/got his autograph at San Diego comic con several years before he passed. The following year I saw him just walking around comic con for the fun of it, we shared a very pleasant conversation about the turquoise rings/jewelry we were wearing that day. He was so down to earth and so there for his fans, Bill Moseley is very much the same like that too. RIP Sid 💜

Bill seems like a really nice guy. Every interview I’ve watched with him he’s always so bubbly and down to earth and polite. Sid also seems really nice. It’s amazing how actors can create such horrific characters and make you hate them but then off set they are some of the coolest people ever.

It's not your typical "horror film" ... it's more of a film about the horrors of the lack of humanity in some people... more gore than horror... I love a good horror flick.. this movie was very unsettling how there are these monsters out there walking the earth that are capable of this ... That is the horror of this horror flick... Love Captain Spalding... Great character...

@5:00 - Regarding "Why do people hate clowns?" - I have a PhD in psychology and I vaguely remember discussing briefly in one of my classes how one hypothesis is that because clowns have painted-on expressions on their face, which may or may not match their actual emotion/affect in the moment, on a biological level it makes it difficult for a subject to "read" the situation and determine whether the clown is harmless or a threat. This makes for an unconsciously unsettling experience. The term "coulrophobia" is the fear of clowns
@TironMurray
5 ай бұрын
The oversized lips and eyebrows distort the face so that the brain perceives it as human but slightly off. That oddness is heightened by a clown's bizarre costume. In addition, clowns are highly unpredictable as well as mischievous, which puts people on edge.

I "accidently" downloaded a copy of this before it was released. It was a rough extended cut with time stamps. The video was in two parts. That video is NOT the same as the one that was released and it was absolutely one of the most disturbing movies I've ever seen. About ten years latter I dug it up and watched it with a bunch of friends who were a fan of this and they were shocked! The story of this movie being made and the response the studio execs had when first seeing the rough cut was appropriate for that version albeit that version needs to be released.

@@Christophergpeters That's crazy. I recall downloading the movie as a torrent. It was listed as "House of 1000". I queued it up with probalbly 10-20 other random movies most of which I had no idea what they were. I am not a horror fan and I could not get through it. Probably took me 10 years to watch it and that was with a group of friends who were also questioning my downloaded copy. I have not come across this in over 8 years and have moved multiple times since. I do not recall any music what so ever and the entire thing looked in a rough edit form. I believe it was the version that was shown to the studio executives who freaked out when they saw it, and I understand their response. The friends who were interested in it were shocked when we watched. I don't recall the entire movie especially the end seems entirely absent to me. That being said, I have watched the released version of it and I can say it is extremely toned down. What I saw in that original was true horror.

Has it though? Some of the oldschool clowns look straight up terrifying by today's standards, and the kids seemed mostly complacement whereas today they would prolly be crying and hiding. I think that Stephen King and the movie industry were able to capitilize on an easily understandable fear that lies in an uknown/masked/faceless sadistic variable that takes joy in that fear.
