Gave me a pop and offered to buy me lunch and snacks while I wait on the paperwork.. Back in the day when my score was 500 it took 8 hours to buy a car and I was hungry😂😂😂 because you have to wait on a bank to approve you. Now I walk in...ask for the bank I want and APR. Fun little trick if you want to help your credit score. When you do your once a year full credit history check, if you see anything derogatory, note it down and write a letter to each credit agency that lists that derogatory thing asking them to remove it or prove that it is true. They are legally obligated to remove it or mail you proof that it is legitimate within 1 month. If they do mail you proof, simply send them another letter requesting them to prove it or remove it again. Keep doing this until they remove it. Most of the time they can't be bothered and just remove it immediately.

@@Sarqn Yes and no. Both scores are numbers attached to an individual that determine their ability to receive certain privileges and the higher that number the more they are eligible to receive. That's where the similarities end, however. In China, it determines every single aspect of your life: your ability to work, live in certain areas, to travel in certain areas, to travel outside the country, how little or how much scrutiny you receive from the government, basically everything. In the US it's not nearly as draconian; it merely determines your creditworthiness and a higher number entitles you to better loan and mortgage agreements.

700 - 800 scores are not difficult to achieve in a relatively short amount of time as long as you can continually pay your bill and not have any strikes or hits. Last time I checked I had an 842 TransUnion and a 810 Experian. I have a few CC and rental property as well as my main home (mortgage). But I pay cash for literally everything. I don't like debt and I have very little of it. I frankly don't like car dealerships, I try to avoid at all costs, buy from private and if I have too interrogate the sales people like crazy before I pay in full.

Actually, a 675 credit score should be an easy sale to a bank unless your debt to income ratio is absurd or your credit file is extremely light. I worked for credit unions (I was a compliance consultant), both of them would have been very happy with a 675 credit score.
