Awesome interview 😁 exactly what I wanted to ask him. We did meet John in Knarsdale as he ran towards Greenhead, he stopped to high 5 my little girl. I was blown away by his caring nature even after nearly 200miles of brutal punishment. Top guy

Hmmm.. "I'm going to start with the Bob Graham Round". Does anyone else consider it a warm-up?

I talked to John at the the National Running Show, he was my hero before it, and even more so after meeting and talking to him twice and talking to him about DNFing the Grand Round and me DNFing Snowdon Ultra, (I’ll PM you the story if you like?) being a better actual life experience than finishing some other toughies, and he said ’thats so cool’, that will live with me forever.

Great interview until he dismissed Jasmin's record... (though admittedly a tricky question to answer).

"it's a phenomenal record" he said. Can't see how he dismissed her record. Then he said "she had a phenomenal performance". Some people only see (or hear) what they want to see (or hear)
