I seriously don't understand how you could compare a $100k salary which has no expenses to selling products for $100k. The $100k is only gross sales. Once you account for cost of product and all the expenses, you would usually have around 15-25% net profit (net profit being comparable to salary amount). So you only really have around $20k income. I'm shocked how such an experienced channel doesn't account for this basic and simple calculation and unfortunately same goes for the viewers, as I didn't find any comments mentioning this either. Ideally you would need to generate $500k of sales to be able to match a $100k salary. So this is not a fair comparison at all. Just to make it clear, I own a business myself, so I'm not favouring having a job over a business. :)

Because they're convinced they're paying for knowledge, but really its just more BS disguised as "motivation". Thats the scam. If you actually break it down some of them give ok advice, but no WAY is Jim Great gonna give away the "Top Secrets to Success" that got him here, at that point its kinda assumed you realize he's getting rich by literally stealing, just telling you its not. What this guy also isnt telling you is the higher the unit proce the more people rely on that commission, which is why "used car salesmen" are seen as shady. Its "shady" to be ok with people fighting tooth and nail for the only 1-2 sales they'll make all year just to eat. So of COURSE they want you to buy that Kia with all the options on it! Its all the same game.

Sigh. I was hoping to see a more diversified approach, other than being an entrepreneur approach by selling a product or some intellectual creation. My approach #1 figure out your spending habits and where can you cut back. #2 find your niche (i.e., selling a product or being creative; buy cheap [foreclosed or rundown] [residential or commercial] properties then rebuild, flip or rent; investments; etc.) as Warren Buffet says, go with what you know. #3 If you should go with market investments there are several approaches, personally I'm always looking at how to improve diversification across the various asset classes and focus on quarterly and monthly dividends.

The reason skill-income is better is because lets say I work in IT. As skill income I can constantly evaluate what I do and what I feel comfortable selling my time for, maximzing my time, whereas a company sets how much it thinks that skill I have is worth, plus the costs the company undertakes to tell me how to tell someone how to fix it, so I may not earn as much on their time as if I just charged a slightly higher rate but fixed your phone myself. Youre taking a pay cut for the convenience of being told what to do and a purpose for your skills if you cant for that for yourself. It takes a real entrapreneurial spirit to do that, but thats the risk you take

After you get a few years truck driving experience, you can be a owner operator, haul fuel, oilfield work etc. and make over 100k yr net. Even some ups, fed ex and xpo drivers can bring home 100k. I only make 50k but I'm home daily, off weekends and my wife makes good money too, So I don't take that route.. but still a CDL takes 4 weeks to get and you can get it paid for by a company if you work for them for a year and make 50 to 100k after two years, not too bad of a deal. If you pay for it it's 6k usually. In Texas and some other places you can make over 100k right away bc they really need drivers in oilfield or if you know someone who will hire you without experience. There is alot of good paying jobs in trucking that pay between 50 and 75k all the way up to over 100k.

@@mjz187 once you learn how to handle the truck and trailer it isn't that bad. You're always improving and learning. You just have to always be focused 100%. I have had all types of jobs and it's the best thing I ever have done. The big problem is that it's always blame the big bad truck while you're dealing with ediots that have next to zero driving training and usually zero training on how to share the road with trucks. We have dash cams which are a big plus. All in all its a great job and a needed job . Almost everything at some point was on a truck. Definitely a lot of opportunity. I love driving but I'm pushing 40 and just don't see myself doing it as an older adult. That's why I'm working towards saving up to buy a older home to fix up and rent or sell and if it works out repeat. It's funy that I got a reply a year later. That's good though. If you got any ?s just ask. I did almost 2 years long haul and been local 2 and a half years.

There’s a big problem with your example of how many units / products you need to sell. You are using the price of what you sell the units for, not the profit. So if you sell 100K in products, you may only make 20K in profit. I’m surprised, this video is unrealistic in your examples that you give.

Not informative. Example, we take the fast lane. Selling $500 or $2000 products. There is always a cost involved to acquire the products and you would be lucky if you can get a profit margin of 50% from the selling price. Next to sell products, we need to spend on marketing, otherwise no one will know of our existence. I just brought up 2 costs involved, there are more; logistics, rent (place, app, website). Therefore, the best way to make $100k is by getting a job, unless you have a brilliant business idea that no one has, I’d say go for it. If it’s just copycat business and entering a highly competitive market, stay out. The big whales will always swallow the small fish.

Generally you don't have to "get" people to buy emotionally.. They (we) do it on our own. The trick is to learn your customer base. (the general market that will be the largest group of people that will be buying what you're wanting to sell) Then learn each person in your pitch. View their guestuers. Feel their feedback in how they pay attention. Are they sitting FOWARD listening.. Grab their emotions. You must learn to get their emotions to crave what you're selling. They already want to buy something.. The trick is to get them to buy from you.
