I am really sorry she was teased as a child for being "fat". Sorry she had an eating disorder. Glad she found a diet the made her lighter and healthier. Thanks to you both for sharing her story. I found it encouraging and empowering. I have at least 150 lbs to lose and I plan to go PBWF no oil for life. Starting slow and small (one Wfpb meal a day) and building my pantry right now.

Really great video thanks for all the book recommendations. I started all this a week ago and I lost 10lb in my first week. I have never felt so healthy and full of vitality. I’ve also got normal blood pressure down from 150/100 my my ankles are no longer swollen bags are gone from under my eyes. My daughter couldn’t believe the change within just one week so now she’s joining me. I was doing some juicing last week and having one meal at night but over the weekend, I’ve gradually transitioned to all plant-based food. And the crazy part is all of this has been really easy. All I did was changed what I ate. I did also look at the calories but stick into the calories eating this way is really easy when I used to try to stick the calories as an omnivore I was absolutely starving, I will never go back. I also realised all tea and coffee had to go including decaf because it makes you hungry. I found this particular video very interesting. Karen is right. The whole system is set up to make you fail. I also was thinking about big animals that eat plants and they eat all day long. It’s okay to think about food all day long not to have cravings but I always have some kind of food though on my mind pretty much all the time. Not in a bad way this past week , but I think we are told that we shouldn’t think about food, but I think we are built to be thinking about food because we are grazers plant eaters. Anyway, thanks again

Mindful eating also help a person pay attention to hunger and satiety cues which can be hard for those of us engaging in emotional eating

I wondered if Karen has read The Mindful Vegan. It's a good book about food, mindfulness, and meditation.

Loved the interview. Don’t like James Clear, though. He sounds like a self obsessed person to me. But maybe he’s just not my style.
