Synopsis: It's undeniable that technology is a crucial part of our society today. We can work to build a healthy relationships with it. Screens and technology don't have to wreak havoc on our lives. The key is to learn control and intentional use.
A few things I've implemented:
- Turning off all app notifications except for favourite calls and SMS (the mentioned apps are on silent notifications).
- Setting Do Not Disturb on 24/7, with minimal exceptions.
- Decluttering my phone from apps which do not service me.
- Being intentional with my human "screen time battery" use.
- Minimising double ups with apps and deleting unnecessary accounts.
- Incorporating more non-screen activities into my routine.
- Using audiobooks and podcasts as mediums for content consumption instead of starting at screens more than I need to.
