Concerning Questions about my hands or dark knuckles . Please note, I am on a skin lightening journey! My knuckles have always been a tough area for me and I’ve been working on them. I address this in my newest skin lightening video. So watch it instead of constantly asking the same questions ! Thank you! Watch the video : kzitem.info/news/bejne/mpWf0advbGh5pXY

The blond hair. The blue eyes. The excitement over people asking if you’re mixed 😔. I really hate that the world we live in makes people of color (but especially black people) feel this way. I really hate how white supremacy has fooled the entire world into believing in, and striving for Eurocentric beauty standards. I understand where the feelings come from so I don’t blame you, but I hope one day you can appreciate your naturally poppin melanated skin. In the mean time stay safe with all of these harsh products.

I think these tips are helpful for someone like myself who is looking for a way to treat localized hyperpigmentation in areas like the armpit, bikini… I’m not interested in lightening my entire body, but I respect a person’s choice to do whatever makes them happier in the skin that THEY ARE LIVING IN!

It takes LOTS of courage to come on KZitem and share this, so for that, I do admire and commend you. You are BEAUTIFUL at ANY shade, but at your "before" shade, you were BREATHTAKINGLY GORGEOUS! It was just something about that mouth-watering, milk-chocolate melanin accompanied by that thousand-watt smile of yours! However, as a melanated beauty myself, I do understand your reasoning. I live in Mississippi. It is rather disheartening to get glossed over for someone with a lighter skin tone SIMPLY because of that. Even in that, people are entitled to be attracted to whatever or whomever they're attracted to. Still, a person should not be MISTREATED or judged more HARSHLY because of their skin tone. For those of you who want to claim "internalized self-hatred," please do take a moment to acknowledge/take into consideration the following factors that may impact someone's decision to change the color of their skin 1. social environment, 2. hurtful past experiences 3. differing levels of tolerance for rejection and repeated discriminatory treatment. Quick question: Is it also self-hatred for someone to get a Brazilian Buttlift or to alter her shape by wearing corsets? I'm simply saying that at the end of the day, no matter WHAT the reasoning, people do have a right to work on whatever it is THEY don't like about themselves--- even if it IS already "amazing" to everyone else. For all those with disparaging comments, she TOLD you that if you don't like skin lightening, you could stop watching at THAT point! BTW, I clicked on because I want to lighten my knees and elbows. Thanks for the helpful information, Sis.!

Its crazy because I heard skin lightening so common in Jamaica. I can tell right off bat you were darker. Your skin will be light but I can still tell , from your finger ridges, orange patches etc… did a good job lightening your skin but still noticeable. Plus most darkskins or more dark tone people don’t even look right when lighter or atleast to me , it makes your looks look so off but nice job‼️

People need to stop the judgement. We all want to change something whether it's lightening/darkening our skin, hair, eyes, getting plastic surgery or botox. Who are we to judge what someone chooses to do with thier OWN body. If you wouldn't do it. Good for you. Then don't. But let people do what they want. It's thier choice. Just like changing something you don't like is yours.

When watching this video, the only thing I could ponder, is what happened in your life that made you not like yourself? What comment penetrated so deeply that cause you think light skin brings acceptance? God gave us a temporary existence in these bodies, so what caused us to be so ungrateful to obsess over vanity, when there is so much more to focus on. This makes me sad:(

I am a white woman and have always been so jealous of dark skin I have always felt black women are the most beautiful but I guess this is kind of on the same level as a white woman using fake tan to darken their skin.. each to there own If this makes you happy you are stunning either way but I can't help feeling sad for you losing your perfect dark skin.. either way you are beautiful though so whatever makes you happy 😊

As a black and Asian mixed woman who's also extremely light/yellow skinned I always find it so bizarre and sad when I see WOC bleach their skin. Brown skin is so beautiful and smooth and I hate the fact that lots of black and brown girls aren't taught to love themselves from the get-go. I feel like this is a desperate attempt to be accepted and attract white folks and other colorists. I pray you and women like you are able to defeat your insecurites, inner demons and inferior complex some day.

Ma’am you need a paradigm shift. You are brain washed into differentiating skin tone. That is slave mentality. Why do you want a lighter skin complexion? Because you’ll feel beautiful. The slaves master made the the lighter skin work in the house and the darker ones worked in the field. The white folk differentiate skin tones. It doesn’t matter what skin tone you are, you are beautiful and worthy. If you are fixing hyperpigmentation to even skin fine but to change you skin color it’s a deeper issue within yourself. Love the skin you are in.

I personally don’t believe in skin lightening. I have always had this chocolate complexion and will always keep it but that doesn’t give me the right to criticize or claim that she hates herself. I was probably raised differently and so that may be why I’m content with myself. Everyone has a back story and we cannot judge someone whom we know nothing about. All we know is that she lightens her skin. So should we say say that black women hate themselves when they wear these horrible wigs? Or when we make our hair platinum blonde? Let her find her way. As long as she’s happy and healthy then I’m not judging.

I love my over all skin color. I have an issue with an area of my face that is dark and seems to be getting darker. From under my bottom lip to under my chin and out to my cheeks a bit is much darker than the rest of my face. Makeup does not cover it. It just makes me look dead like the vampires in the movies. LOL I've tried fade creams, bleaching creams, whitening soaps, lemon juice, etc... nothing has worked yet. I also have scars from childhood on through just living life, dark elbows, and dark knees. They don't bother me BUT if I find something thing that helps my chin, I may do other spot treatments for the other areas. I'n leave my stretch marks alone. Those are my "war scars" ❤

Wow sis, seeing your transformation from your old videos to now is heartbreaking, I know you've probably heard it all before & you don't think this is a problem but just know your natural look was beyond beautiful. Whoever told you your dark skin/kinky hair was not "correct" doesn't like their own dark skin & kinky hair that's their problem. Your melanin is rich & beautiful your hair was already curly you just need to take care of it & put as much effort in it as you do skin bleaching. You do not look how you think you look, you may think you get more recognition for looking mixed & having blonde hair but it is not genuine, it's not you. Don't abandon the little black girl inside of you. Top quality men love natural hair & dark skin. Men who chase light skin will not take you seriously because they fetishize it & hate themselves. It is flex to love yourself, it's easier to change your outer appearance than your inner but you have to be the one to believe in your beauty. Racism is real & that's why we have colorism, but those things are highly immoral & are only the rules of low vibrational & low self-esteem humans. Remember they wanted to be like us, they wanted our kinks, our lips, our skin tone, our baby hairs, hairstyles so they can get the same men who scream they don't like blackness. Even older women who make ignorant comments don't love themselves no matter how beautiful they are because society's racism & colorism effect tore them to shreds so they feel the need to tell others they are also inadequate. You can be a brown-skinned natural-haired baddie, you don't need to go through all of this to be that. Listen to some Megan Thee Stallion & get in tune with yourself!
