How do you store toys and do you feel like you have too many 😆?

Awe, thank you for this! I agree with the no playroom concept 100%! We have the exact play kitchen and now that my youngest is 5 it has become an outdoor/greenhouse mud pie kitchen 😂. I’ve given up on any type of Lego organization…just some wooden bins and nobody has complained yet. Cardboard boxes, sticks and dirt are pretty much the favorite playthings around our home. Would love to hear if/how you handle screen time? We do not have a television in our home but have an iPad. It’s probably my biggest guilt inducer when I allow it. Thank you!

Leah!! Thank you for your comment and for being here! I love that we are aligned on playrooms and play kitchens🤣! And yes Lego will always be my nemesis! And I love to hear about all the low tech, budget friendly games and toys things your kids gravitate towards! How many kids do you have and what are their ages? Repurposing the kitchen to an outdoor kitchen is genius! Screen time! I hear you - I plan to make a video about it as I have been researching a lot about all the things so bare with me while I get that organized! But you sound like you are doing amazing with your kids, so don't feel guilty! We are typically so hard on ourselves as moms but as long as you are being intentional about the time they spend on screens and talking to them about it and weighing up cost vs benefit (like YOU really need a personal time out and this is what you need to do to get it) vs letting them watch a little, I think that's great!

Gifts are a major problem, because there are so many toys and often quite big. When someone asks me, what they should gift to my children I usually suggest something that can be used up. Fot example little tattoos, bathbombs etc.

That’s so smart! Because you don’t want them bringing food/sweets etc but useable things are great - seeds to plant flowers or gardening things are something else I thought of. I’m with you though - gifts are a real tricky one because they come from a good, loving place but often cause more trouble than not!

Toys stress me out. Gifts, the amount.. but also I ofter have the feeling that I should buy more or different etc. But when I am honest with myself we just don't need more. It will never be the perfect stuff and that's ok, most children in the world have absolutely no store bought toys and they too will be fine. I need to remind myself of that frequently 😅
