To my introverts, how do you advocate for yourself in the workplace or in group settings? Do you feel satisfied with your social lives??

I just be myself. I listen more than I speak. At least in the workplace. It makes it easier to get a feel fow who people are and how they are doing.

I have done a lot of internships in different files and I didn't have problems with that, the only thing I can't do is going out with people of workplace or even my classmates, but it has not affect my social life since I travel alone a lot and the people I have met in those trips don't make me feel uncomfortable. Since the pandemic I have been having a hard time because traveling is not a priority.

As an introverted person in the corporate world, I have seen what you are talking about. And I think it helps that as introverts, we find our niche and our purpose - what we wish to contribute - and we work on that and for that. And once we things become okay, wether we are noticed or not. We work silently.

Hello Sam! I'm from Brazil, and I've been following your videos! I am an introverted person, but little by little I worked on my sociability. In fact, one thing that helped me a lot was not expecting anything from the other person. Just do your part, like saying 'good morning', don't wait for an answer, just do your part. So when you take the burden off expecting something in return, you free yourself from many dogmas that we've built up during our lifetime heh. Ty! You're a nice person!

I'm definitely an introvert when it comes to social interaction, but of my 38 years teaching in high school and community college, I spent over 20 of them as department chair and (past my initiation) never had any fear of running a classroom. Because I lacked the ability to BS and glad-hand people, I had to make sure I was always prepared and ready to do what needed to be done. I have served on a jury 3 times, and twice was the foreman because others were reluctant to step up. Being confident, competent, and prepared is not something only extroverts can do.

Pros and cons to all personality types. Yes, some people with certain personalities do better in certain situations but at the end of the day it’s all about how you can use your unique personality to your advantage. Extroverts don’t win at everything

I’m pretty introverted. I go to group counseling sessions once a week but I hardly get a chance to speak because the more extroverted people jump in whenever there is a pause. Usually I would lay low but that only meant that my voice wouldn’t be heard. So recently I’ve been speaking up and being the one to jump in at a pause. People hear me and I feel much better for it.

I was an extrovert. As an ex extrovert, I found people tended to push me to be the leader of the group. At the same time, some people didn’t like me because I couldn’t tell if someone was not in the mood. For a long time, I hated myself for that. And now I’m an introvert, but I miss my ability to not be so shy all the time.

Kuya Sam. (iam an introvert so ill lessen the noise for this video only :D :D ) I have been working with Hewlett Packard for a while and 100% agree that extrovert tend to get the attention more often so comparing an introvert with say 10 points of programming skills and an extrovert with also 10 programming points as well, the extrovert's skills would get noticed more because they know how to highlight their output. I also agree that its a spectrum haha, I prefer to be left alone with my mind and focusing on work but if I have to I can work with a team effectively as well but not for an extended time hahah I have to yeah charge myself ---- in silence haha. I have to add though, one good thing of being an introvert is that since you dont often speak, when you do people listen because its a rare event, compared to someone who talks a lot haha. But I guess as you climb the corporate ladder its gonna focused more on the content rather than the presentation. Thanks for another great insight I can relate 100% Where are the sponsors!!!

Even though I eventually like the experiences of new connections formed and cherish my bonds with people but avoiding meeting new people is always my first thought. I am at my new university and I absolutely don't like new social settings. I don't have anything against people but yeah for now I just cling to my friend. I know this is a problematic trait :/
