We rode through fukushima and had our skin burned off by nuclear waste, and still made it to school on time. All of that was way way way back in olden days, golden age, medieval, ancient renaissance era of the 1990's.

Grew up in the country and went to school in the 90's. If we missed the bus, we sprinted through the woods with our backpacks a long stick out running hungry stray dogs, mosquitoes and yellow jackets for 7 miles. Kids are soft these days lol!

Why is this so completely on point and accurate? I was born in 82, with three sisters, one older and two younger but we were like stair steps with mom popping us out back to back so we all went to elementary at the same time. Around 94' in Baltimore MD there was a blizzard that we had to climb out of the second floor window & despite efforts to clear the roads we walked in between 2ft & 4ft to get to school. I think the worst time was when my little sister 1 year younger than me wouldn't go through this big pile of snow after all of us did it her other three sisters and we finally got her to do it she lost one of her shoes or snow boots and she was left with a foot with no shoe in the freezing cold. I will never forget her crying and me and my older sister trying to watch her baby sister and trying to help her at the same time when a very nice couple or family rather so what was going on and asked us to come up to the porch. Long story short those people helped my little sister and called my mom and even though she didn't have a car she could bring shoes and come get us but if it was my first kindness of those strangers I still wonder if my little sister was had some kind of problem with her foot because of that so this s*** is real
