Much better advice that the "age gracefully" chestnut.

Most people don’t try hard enough to do the necessary weight training, aerobics and lifestyle that maintains optimum health. By applying the proper strategies and putting in sufficient effort we can hold off a great deal of the effects of aging into our 80’s or even into our 90’s.

Exactly! Spot on! Excellent video. At 63 1/2, the only reason I do so much is that I'm unwilling to act my age. I'll be running a 5 miler this Thursday, and I hope to place in my age group. The good thing is...the older I get, the fewer people in my age group. Ha! Keep up the great work, Lance. I'm glad I found your channel.

Lance - I *so* appreciate the content and timing of this message. By your standards, I’m a young whipper-snapper in my early 50’s. I also had a brutal year (both personally and professionally) which had me put my physical health aside. I’ve been shocked about how all the health progress I’ve made in the last 3~4yrs just ‘vanished’ so quickly. My last few weeks (finally) getting back to the gym have been downright humbling, and I won’t lie that I’ve had all sorts of thought that I ‘forever-lost’ those gains I made before. So inspiring that you made such amazing gains in a few months! Thanks for your authentic and vulnerable sharing of your real journey… it’s inspiring and empowering. 🙏💪

I think that if you "were" in shape, then getting "back" in shape happens much more quickly than if you were NEVER in shape. Just before Covid, I got injured and had to lay off working out. When I got back into it a couple of years ago, I was thinking that I was finally aging. Nope, just outta shape. Got back into shape pretty quickly.

Are you on any kinda of fasting regiment? I've been on for a while, 16/8 daily with zero snacking, 24 hrs once a week, 3 days once a month. Low carb omnivore, zero processed. Seems to be working great. 59 yrs old.

BMI 20.7 at 157 lbs, a bit light for what I want to reach again with muscle, I endorse your perspective and have the results at 68 to prove youthing works.

The biggest problem is recovery, I seem to have a choice train often and not so hard or train hard and not often. As I have plenty of free time to train I would rather train often and not wear myself out. The other big problem in training heavy is injury, injur yourself and you can't train at all.

If we were able to achieve real antiageing the biological age wouldn't move forward and backward so easily. If I really could age backwards by ten years even if I then stopped everything my age should stay ten year younder and should only increase by a year each year. Even drinking a shake an hour before you take one of those biological age tests can shift your age backwards by several years.

ALL THAT with out stem cells treatments like you have had in the past. Sounds like the best things in life are free you just have to pay in sweet
@LanceHitchings
3 ай бұрын
In all honesty, the stem cell therapy caused healing that no amount of exercise would have ever caused. But all of that specific healing combined probably amounted to less that 5% of the total effects of a longevity lifestyle. Exercise probably accounts for upwards of 50% or 60%. Good nutrition for another 20% or 30%. You have to do all the things.

The age that Wii percieve ourselves to be is a magical placebo effect on aging, the process of slowing down, losing mental capacity, or physical for that matter. I learned of Youthing in my fifties and reset my perception and my perspicuity, which is what I believe to be the key to longevity, but also our belief system that is helped or hurt by those you hang out with. Their expectations are often what limit those who chose to excell. The lazy friends and lovers can cause us to slow down, in part because wii believe that is what happens to our perspective. At 69 I would say I can exemplify what looking and feeling 35 can be physically. Truly this is an amazing life when you ground, walk, workout, eat well, and have great spiritual perspecitives. Truly the attitude is the key for it is your proof of faith, perspicuity.

Ok but talk about the component that has been the biggest needle mover according to you, the phlebotomy, and how that has effected your health as a 74 year old. I'm honestly intrigued to go in on Phlebotomy as both you and David Pascoe are saying its the biggest impact out of all your protocols, but neither of you have spoken to what exactly you do to get that large impact on your biological age and what is the mechanism of action for why its helping to preserve your age.

I'm actually going to do just that. In about a month, maybe a little more. I'm conducting an experiment with donating plasma to see how it compares with plasmapheresis.

@@LanceHitchings Thank you very much for this, I eagerly await to find out the results! I'm someone who just turned 30 who is trying to adapt the best physiological and functional protocols into my longevity path early, and from what I've seen you, August Dunning, and Dave Pascoe are the most tangible examples of real-time physiological/function age preservation, so I want to understand your paths as best as possible. On that note, have you considered incorporating Hyperbaric Oxygen into your protocol to close the gap with yourself and Dave?
