Beautiful car man would you ever switch to a manual. Have you had any dash lights on since you bought it ?
@VinceChristmastree
Жыл бұрын
Thanks Chris! For my usage, probably not since it’s my daily. Having a variety of manuals, going back to an auto is nice. Not as engaging, but the car is still a weapon. No dash lights. One random time, I got a CEL for a loose gas cap and something else was loose, but 99% of my ownership, it’s been amazing and problem free.

Thank you for the compliment Lihe! Been on the car since I purchased it! So 2 years plus. No issues on the strut and as long as you run a 35 profile tire and it’s 305 or narrower, it will not rub.

@VinceChristmastree
11 ай бұрын
Thanks! I daily drove an FK8 right before this and they are completely different cars. The Type R IMO is one of the best handling street cars period. Direct feel and predictable. The Supra is like that, but demands more respect with it being RWD and having loads more torque than the FK8.

Quick question about the wing, I've been looking for one since I got my '22 last August and I really like the look of the one you have, with the way the installation looks can your trunk still open normally or is it pretty much sealed?
@VinceChristmastree
Жыл бұрын
It opens normally. Just a tad bit heavier when opening, but it’s still doable and it’ll stay open when on a flat road (if you open all the way).

You should be able to just purchase them online, take them to a tire shop to get installed along with your tires. I don’t remember if you can have the shop calibrate it to the car or if the dealer will have to do it. Hope that helps!

Do you keep the stick injectors if you're looking for 600 HP? 🤔
@VinceChristmastree
Жыл бұрын
They max out around mid-500s. You’ll need port injection and a bigger turbo to reliably have that power level. Doing a downpipe and E50 tune will get you a little over 500whp and 600wtq which is the perfect amount on the street.
@guillermoocho359

@@VinceChristmastree the issue there is I'd like to keep the stock turbo and injectors for reliability. I already have a Foxbody with tons of power. 🤔 fk it. I just rode my friend's C8 and honestly even though the looks are okay to me personally, it's such a weapon. But yeah I've heard of how expensive it is to modify and apparently the ECU is still locked so tuning capabilities are still limited?

@@VinceChristmastree for the most part but it’s getting better. $600 for a dash trim kit (3M carbon fiber), $2-5k for a cat back exhaust, $25k for either a TT kit or supercharger that gets you avg 600hp to the wheels. Yea it’s a unit, but I’ll end up spending as much as the car to even get 800whp. 🤣

Thanks man! It's not too bad for me since I got used to it, but if you're used to the visibility of a sedan or SUV, then it's definitely more limited. Annoying thing is seeing your blind spot in this car, but thankfully the premium models come with blind spot monitoring.

Definitely necessary if I am going to be above the 650wtq mark. It was already slipping a lot and would have eventually failed if I kept it stock. Who knew how much longer it would have lasted. It definitely would have been the limiting factor once I start pushing more power on the car.
