I did this split for 2 months with no rest days. When I did go to gym I was able to do at least 20 fingertip push ups with 40lbs on my back.

Doesn’t matter if they don’t look big. Anyone who can master his own body and go from regular push-up to one arm to strong core muscles and calisthenics in general is far more impressive than a big dude who just looks “intimidating” My brother went to prison and came out jacked and you can absolutely build muscle off of body weight. He had nothing else better to do with what he had. He did progressive overload which builds muscle. And ate the 3 meals they gave him. And slept longer than most outside of prison. The strongest guys you’ll see in prison because strength and looking strong are two different things.

Do you think bodybuilders will have a 50 inch chest and NOT be able to bench a lot? Calisthenics is relative strength(aka control of ones body) and bodybuilding has carry over to max strength(aka lifting heavy weights). You're comparing apples to oranges. You're not going to get a 405 bench doing bodyweight pushups variants and you wont be doing muscle ups just from lat pulldowns. Pros and cons to both training styles so we can do both calisthenics & weightlifting(As said by Alpha Destiny, Austin Dunham and Tao Physique)
@jbird4165

@@fittysit-tea5287 most bodybuilders can’t even do handstand let alone pull ups and one arm push-ups unless they do calisthenics as well. Yeah your bench totally matters mate. You look strong but you aren’t strong. Like I said master your own body. Mediocre fitness influencers will say that their opinions matter over thousands of prisoners who get big and gain loads of muscle in prison. If you want to do bench press then do it doesn’t matter to me. All I’m saying is calisthenics is way better. Looking stronger vs actually being strong

@@jbird4165 You didn't read what I said, didn't you? I said that a bodybuilder won't be doing handstand push-ups or frontlevers from body building alone. But a calisthenics athlete won't be bench 405 either. They are 2 different forms of strength(calisthenics being relative) & bodybuilding having carry over to max strength. That's like saying Kipchoge isn't a good cardio endurance athlete because he can't do 30 pullups(which would display muscular endurance due to high reps). Bodybuilders can lift more, calisthenics guys can control their bodyweight more. Both strong, just different adaptations of strength

Very inspiring channel! 💯 I started calisthenics in November last year after doing the 100 push-ups a day for 30 days challenge. I’ve been hooked ever since and it has changed my life and I can keep this going my whole life unlike heavy weight training. Highly recommend sticking at the basic movements and just do more reps. It’s also better for your joints too. Here’s my current workout plan that I’ve tried a few but I think this is my final. Well for now 😂 Upper Pull-ups Push-ups Dips Shoulder press Hanging leg raises Lower Squats Romanian deadlift Split squat or pistol squats Calves raises Hanging leg raises I do upper and lower body splits as full body was getting harder as my reps went up. I do this like 4 times a week along with running once or twice a week. But take longer rests if my body needs it. My reps go between 50, 100 or 200. Lower reps for pull-ups than push-ups. Higher reps for legs unless I decide to use heavier weights I do 50 reps. I usually do 5 reps x10 sets for pull-ups and 10 reps x10 or x20 sets for push-ups and shoulder press and legs. This is such a great way to build muscle and lose weight and feel super energetic. Definitely worth trying this for 1 or 2 months if you are looking to get in great shape with little equipment, you can do this at a park with a resistance band and a tree or at a gym with dumbbells and pull-up bar. 🔥
