@User61918

signing for 4 million gives you more motivation than anything😂 it’s not just a paycheck, it’s an advance (a loan). If his music doesn’t make the $4 million he’s in debt to the label and they take a % of money from every single earning, small or big. Signing gives you a lot more to lose but also a lot more to gain.
@Alan-rw3ez
Жыл бұрын
@@User61918I sure hope you did simple math and ever since he signed that deal he has surpassed it in net profit. The label does that not as just a gamble, they promoted and pushed the hell out of him so he would be listened to. The money has already been made back a long time ago.
@User61918
Жыл бұрын
@@Alan-rw3ez not how contracts work. instead of me learning simple math you should learn the music industry before you speak on it. an artist receives an advance, and either fulfills their obligations and gets more money with the expectation they make it back, or they fail to fulfill them and are in debt. Once they fulfill their contract, they can either sign for another advance or become independent.

Dominic's talent is clearly evident by now. But instead of scrutinizing, why don't fans learn to send good vibes and well wishes for his sustained mental health, recovery and sobriety from drugs and /or alcohol. Celebrities like Justin Bieber, went through adolescent ups and downs but Bieber seems to have matured over the years and recovered his sanity in this crazy industry. Our culture loves to place people on a pedestal, but when they don't live up to our unreasonable expectations we immediately cancel them. We want to live vicariously through other people so we don't have to face our own shadows and demons. He doesn't owe anyone shit. He's cultivating a great gift and leaving that to the world. Let's all do the same. Keep your side of the street clean then you can have empathy for someone else, like the drug attacks and alcoholics in your own family you may be in denial about.
