Forgive me, but this is simply inhumane! And when you have children and at some point you realize that you don't have the time and energy for them, will you give them away too? Animals are the same family members, they cannot be given away, changed, betrayed!

You’re not forgiven because you’re not smart. Did I push the dogs out of my p***y? I didn’t, so they’re not the same as kids. You’re an imbecile 😂 I didn’t dump them on the side of the road, didn’t take them to a shelter. They now live with a friend. You and the rest of your small minded comrades are DUMB and lack experience in life. This is the only DUMB a** comment I’ll be responding to and this response goes for EVERY & ANYONE that has an issue with my decision. Now get TF off of my channel 😘

I can’t believe she wrote that. She must not have owned dogs before. You love your dogs but they become an expense and with shifts in life, sometimes you have to make choices. I took in a re-homed dog and what a blessing she was!!! Her previous owner could no longer car for her and had remembered she connected with me. I see re-homeing as a shared blessing, a blessing of the original owner to the new owner. We loved our beloved Sheba for 3 years until she passed from cancer this past February. Besides the cancer, I wouldn't change. So I send you a heart felt thank you from a re-homed receiving momma. Thank you for sharing your blessings!

You gotta do what you gotta do for you! There's no reason to explain ish to anybody. When my 19 year old cat had to be put down, I said I never want another pet for so many reasons. I loved that cat so much. He cost me so much money, I could never go anywhere. I was his servant, my furniture was a scratching post. Hair all over the place and I avoided wearing black clothes bc he was white. Don't get me wrong, I loved that cat but $68.00 for a flee collar, vet bills, food, litter was why I could never go out more than a weekend. My daughter is child free in her 30s, having a great life. I'm so cool with that. I don't even have plants anymore that require alot of my attention. I now have acquaintances not friends. I'm celibate now bc I don't care if a man has a hard on. That's your business, take care of U. I wake up and all I think about is me after caring for others for over 40 years and it feels f'n good!. Not selfish at all, just self care. Let this be the last time you explain anything to anybody. You don't owe nobody ish! Saying all that it's hard to love them so much. I never wanna love that deeply again. They do miss you too. It's so hard though. 😢

Vet Tech here for over 15 years. And I will say you ABSOLUTELY did the right thing, and I applaud you because it’s NOT EASY making A decision like this. You did what was best for the two fur babies and they are thriving in their new environment and in turn you will be able to thrive in your future endeavors without feeling the restraints of the obligations that come with pet ownership and I don’t care what anybody says it is a HUGE responsibility ESPECIALLY FINANCIALLY , when you have a dog or a cat. And God forbid if they get sick that’s on a whole another level. You did absolutely right and I stand behind your decision ten toes down. Again this is coming from being in animal medicine for almost 20 years and wishing more people made this choice especially when it would do right by the pet and them. I wish more people had your mindset and did right by their fur babies and themselves.

Ooh girl, this is about to be a long comment so buckle up lol. I really needed to see this. I’ve had my little Yorkie since he was 1 (he’s 5 now) and it was (1) pretty much forced onto me via my mom telling her friend that I would take him BEFORE telling me about him and (2) two months before the pandemic shutdowns. Because of this and financial hardships, I wasn’t not able to get him the socialization and training he needed at a young age and his reactivity is severe because of it. I’ve tried many trainers and although he has calmed down considerably, it still gets bad if he even hears another dog 😩 combined that with living in an apartment in the city…I worry for his health because he’s getting older, and I worry he’s going to end up hurting himself or another dog. I have one more trainer who wants to meet with him and possibly have him stay with her while she trains him, but even that is expensive. I’m willing to give it one more try but rehoming will be the next step if this doesn’t work. I’m trying not to beat myself up about even thinking about that because it does get generally shamed, whether people like to admit it or not. It is A LOT, it is expensive to take care of them, and I love him to death but his reactivity issues have definitely taken a toll on both of us mentally. I have to literally pick him up and brace myself whenever we’re coming in and out of my building. I’m not looking for him to be super friendly with other animals, I just don’t want to have to worry about getting bit or scratched inadvertently anymore because he’s being fearfully aggressive. Thank you for sharing your story because it makes me feel better for even entertaining rehoming him. I just want the best for me and my fur baby, even if that means he needs to be in a space that fits his needs better.

We have very similar situations! Same thing with my girl dog, I explained everything to them and told them to keep her AWAY from other dogs. I wasn't willing to invest in training for her, I had other things to put that money towards. I understand the anxiety you feel with walking him, it almost gives you PTSD. Honestly, do what you have to do. I stopped caring about what is and isn't shamed a longgggg time ago. If he attacks another dog and you get sued, people's opinions won't pay for it. Just like people's opinions won't pay my rent if I spend all my money on a dog 😂 this life is yours and you only get one, do you boo ❤🤗 Wishing you the best with your decision making!

thank you. This is one of the most heartfelt comments I will ever make. I had to regime my dog two years ago and it has been one of the most difficult things I have ever experienced partly because humans have decided to be inhumane to other humans for the sake of being humane to dogs. I think treating animals with love and humanity is great but when we feel like we can only extend humanity to either human or dog and not both at the same time, something is wrong. people are so vile, so disgusting, so callous, so uncaring when it comes to this topic. Hearing people being told they will be terrible parents and should divorce their spouses because either they could no longer keep the dog or their partner was unhappy with their massive lifestyle change was shocking. I heard of stories of people insulting a person who was angry that his dog ate his mother's ashes and his only photos of her. I think people need to remember that dogs are not human. they are not human babies, they are animals. They should be treated with love, respect, humanity, patience and everything good but their wellbeing should not come before the wellbeing of a human being! You should not have to apologize for rehoming your dog in another loving home where they can get all their needs met because having them did not work with your life, schedule and the changes that come with living a full intense human life in this world. I wish people would extend just a portion of the kindness they extend to dogs to their fellow humans.

My mother has a dog and had to come live with me for 4 years. Her dog is family to us too but a small dog. You are so right! Girl the dog hair all over the place and yes on our plates, expensive, when my mom would travel I had to walk the dog. Girl it’s like a second job and I do have kids. My mom finally moved and I’m so much happier. We visit my mom and the dog. You made the best decision for your life at this time.

Thanks for this video. You actively chose transparency and authenticity when you didn't have to. We got a rescue, a female pittie mix that was 5-7 years old. She was excessively reactive. Her owner died and she was abandoned on the street. She was fine with any human but no dogs. She would bark if we would have the window cracked and she heard them across the street. She barked if she saw them on television. There was an incident where she barked so aggressively at another dog and started foaming at the mouth. We really didn't have the money to invest in training. I was afraid to take her for walks. We couldn't go into the grocery store together. Even when one of us stayed behind, she got incredibly ancy in the vehicle. I am in a new season leaning into self-care after years of self neglect. My cup wasn't filled enough to take on the enormous responsibility. With standard supplies we likely spent $300 - $400. We only had a trial period of two weeks and we took her back. Had debilitating guilt but I'm letting that go. Just the appearance of this video and you taking full ownership of your decision is apart of my healing. Stay blessed!

Thank you for being transparent. I lightly considered getting a dog, but the responsibility would be too much right now. That energy should be put towards my future children and family.

Firstly! I have been on a binge with your videos! DAILY! I watch you while I’m at the gym. Now when I clicked this video I did not think you was gonna be speaking directly to me. Like you called me on the phone girl! 😂 I’m literally in the process of wanting to re home my dogs. EVERYTHING you said. I just can’t anymore. For me it’s mainly the barking and crying when I’m at work. I’m an insurance agent. Just imagine trying to sale a policy with dogs barking and crying SO loud in the background. My apartment is not big enough. I bought a pair of bernedoodles. K not cheap! But I was trying to gift my sister one and I was gonna keep one. She posted in our GC about a dog that had sold that she wanted so I literally found her a dog that same day and surprised her with it. I paid $1.5k for these dogs! Girl tell me why she ended up not wanting it. So I had 3 dogs in my apartment (I already have a pup) plus my moms dog cause she ended up moving in with me making that a total of 4! I’m not even a dog person like that. Not to mention right around this time, my 2nd friend from the same friend group passed away 2 months a part .(28YO unexpectedly) so mentally I was not in a good place anyhow.depressed. Could barely get out the bed for me and my kids let alone the dogs. I rehomed the girl I& yes I cried for a couple days but still in contact with the people who got her and I can visit whenever… she has a doodle sister there a fabulous house and yard and will live a better life then I could ever give her… ❤ now I want to rehome the boy but he is sooo sweet 😢 I was supposed to put him up on Sunday and I still haven’t… then my RS of 1.5yr with my partner… I broke it off last week but we still live together ect & she just got news that her friend passed away yesterday and it’s hard breaking up and still living with that person. We didn’t have a cheating rs dv or anything like that we just are not equally yoked & I deserve better. it’s a lot of grief but I still have to do what I know what is best for me! I just turned 29 in May my next chapter will be my best chapter yet…Anyhow I know this comment is long but thank you for being you and posting amazing content!! I ❤ you!!

I’m glad you rehomed your dogs if you aren’t capable of giving them the lives they deserve but it’s sad for the dogs. They love you and they’re attached to you and they don’t understand why you’re gone. This is why it’s important to understand that getting a pet is a lifelong decision (their life, not yours). Better to be responsible up front than waiting until they’re already attached to you.

Girl I understand you so much on this. My man wanted another dog and I regret getting a second that isn’t a small sized dog to travel with. I love him so much but it’s a lot in an apartment. And then having to get a house sitter for two dogs costs me around just $300 a weekend because the newest one is too anxious for boarding. Then you take them on vacation with you and have to spend your entire vacation around their schedule rather than you relaxing and enjoying yourself

Evette my love! I know how you feel with my whole being! I unfortunately had to let my baby go in November. It’s really tough, but it is a blessing that you’re able to see them. I had a feeling things would change soon the bigger your following got, only because once my life started kicking into another gear the space that I was in, I knew my baby wouldnt be able to come with me. I know you love them, I could see it and feel it. You gave them the best life that you could and now another family can love on them while you’re in your next chapter. It’s kind of funny, literally everything you said in your video is literally everything I had to go through, feel, and think about. But just know that you did your absolute best and I really think you made the best decision for them. I’m really glad you were able to see them. May God continue to bless you and them. And your friends for taking them in and loving on them! 💛

I had no clue I'd ever have to give them up 😢 Even when I moved into the apartment I didn't consider that, hell I had them written down in my 5 year plan. But yes ma'am, things have been happening pretty fast and it's just something I had to do ❤🩹 Thank you! I'm glad that we have this shared experience 🤗
