Great DIY video... I was about to do the install and your vid helps 100%. BTW, how's that amazon's VIPMOTOZ LED strip light holding up after few years of use? Still working 100%? Thanks!

Looks like a tough area for those fuse panels to survive unless your climate is really mild. Nice production on the video.

That’s a good point. I’m in Texas with no snow, no salty roads, and no beach. So pretty mild overall.

I noticed you mentioned you had an ARB compressor. Where did you mount your compressor? I have been trying to figure out where I want to install mine. you should make a video on your compressor and any other mods you've done. Great work on these videos. Keep em coming

Thanks for the kind words! I’m definitely planning to do a full video of the ARB install. It was a lot of work. In summary, I ran power from the battery to the bed of the truck where I mounted a fused power distribution block. I also mounted the ARB twin compressor in the bed on the opposite side and powered it from the above block. Under the bed (above the spare tire) I have mounted an air tank and the ARB Bluetooth pressure control. Then I have the remote hose coupling kit bolted to the frame near the bumper. The entire install was all bolt on. No drilling holes in the truck for anything.

Bro is there a way to get it to function as a brake light? I just installed mine (Morimoto), and it works as a running light, but couldnt figure out how to tap it into the brake

I’m not sure about morimoto. But my light had an extra brake wire that I could connect that increases the voltage to make it brighter for the brake.

The rear white LEDs are the UBL Color Flood Mini pair in white and amber. I like them! Here’s my video on the bracket! kzitem.info/news/bejne/u2ptz3aPbnp2dIIsi=Ni5bhFCHTgTKnZlc

Why a fuse on yellow blue wire? Does it not have a fuse from the factory? Just asking.
@legmar
Жыл бұрын
The yellow blue wire is a heavier gauge than the red brake wire that goes to the light. I usually like to use a fuse when going to a smaller AWG wire to protect the smaller wire. Presumably, any fuse that Ford already had protecting the yellow blue wire may have been too big to protect the small red wire on my light. However, I’m not an electrician, so this is just my opinion. 😬
