You're the first person I've seen put the product directly on the hair and brush through to make sure it's REALLY saturated. I'm going to try this next time. Great tips!

It's because this is done on shampooed hair with no conditioner or products in it. Dangerous to detangle on naked hair. If you put a shower cap on it will saturate.

I use a plastic cap, cover with either a large silk scarf if going out, or knit hat if staying home. I wear it for 24 hours, too. I've actually gotten compliments on the scarf look! 😂 The cap prevents the Olaplex from getting on stuff, like my mat at the gym, and drying out,(which I believe stops the process), and the scarf/hat provides a bit of warmth to allow it to penetrate. Thx for your video, your hair looks so healthy!

I'm glad. :) I get that. . . Based on their website it's because keeping your healthy is a constant thing and I'm assuming because your hair is constantly growing and we are constantly doing stuff to it. But, for me, I use it once a week because as my color is growing out, I want it to stay healthy and I also flat iron my hair once a month . . . But, I would say, do what works best for you and your hair and if you do not need it as often, that's great. .. I hope I can get there. lol :)

You're exactly right. I found it on their website. Even virgin hair sleeps on a pillowcase and that can even do some damage. Chemical processes, of course, do damage, as well as hot tool styling. I texted my stylist and she says that she sometimes uses the product in with bleach when highlighting hair to help prevent as much damage. I'll be olaplexing for life. Ha! Thanks for the great video and the feedback too.

Thanks and yes I’ve heard this as well! It also makes sense because I’ve learned that leaving any type of conditioning treatment on the hair for longer than what’s recommended on the bottle can cause damage and over treated hair. Conditioners are made to use for a set time. Only products specifically formulated as leave-in should be left in the hair.

Hi. I just watched your video. I have severely dry brittle hair from using a mixture of knock off essential oils. I'm from St. Lucia and I looked around and there's no stylist here who uses Olaplex. I guess it's because ed of the price. I was thinking I can purchase of myself on the website and bring it to a salon here and they could apply it for me. But I wanted the entire treatment. Can you please direct me to the website and help me find a guide to show a professional so they know how to go about doing it?

I want to try the entire treatment because my hair is very damaged. It's been that way for 5 month now and I've tried everything but nothing works (protien treatments, cherry lola, deep conditioners, cutting it etc). I cut off my relaxed ends because it was very long. I took a short cut, but the natural hair is lifeless and sooo dry. I lost my curl pattern. It's a small island and there are some professionals but I haven't come across one who really has had experience in treating extremely damaged hair and none of them offer the olaplex treatment.

Yes. I shampooed my hair first. You want to add to a mostly clean scalp. But, you can use it dry, you just end up using more product. Hope that helps! :)

Thank you, that's kind of you to say! :) The best part is that the Olaplex website says the longer you keep it on the better the results. :) I think people say to keep it on 20 minutes b/c Olaplex says that's a good time to keep it on too, but if you have the time longer is better. :) Thank you for your kind words and thank you so much for watching! :)

Hi, Can anyone help me?...One section of my hair is significantly looser due to a styling product being used in my hair that left that section damaged. I'm wanting to reverse the damage so that it can be like the rest of my hair. Does anyone know if this will help me, and if not if can you recommend something else that will?...Thanks in advance! I really appreciate it.

I'm so sorry, I'm just seeing your comment. I know how that feels, it sucks when parts are straight and it just won't curl b/c of the damage. But, yes, Olaplex helped me when I had heat damage. It takes a few treatments, but you will see your curl pattern start to come back. Thank you so much for watching and so sorry again for the late response. :)

@GleamyGleamyGlamGlam

It's a bond building treatment. I started using it b/c my hair was super damaged. But, I now use it to maintain the health of my hair and prevents ongoing damage. I have a video from last year where I explain what it does and how it is suppose to work indepth. The link is in the description if you wanted more information or olaplex.com. Hope that helps and thank you so much for watching! :)

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were asking me if you could purchase it from Walmart. I do not think Walmart is an authorized dealer for Olaplex. I bought mine from Costco once and didn't know it was not an authorized dealer. You can buy from an unauthorized dealer, but you are taking a chance with the product not being legitimate or even old. But, I use Olaplex once a week to keep my hair healthy. :) I hope I said that clearly. :)

@@GleamyGleamyGlamGlam Your welcome! I just did a treatment today and having damp towel dried hair are directions for traditional caucasian textures. I found it better to have almost drenched hair to move the product throughout and maybe use warm/hot water to open the cuticle and get the treatment in, especially since it's applied to unwashed hair per the instructions.

Did you notice a difference in hair growth or thickness? I’m planning on going blonde and heard it’s good to apply this 2 weeks before actually dying it, and dye it in stages not all at once.
@GleamyGleamyGlamGlam

I did not notice any hair growth or added thickness, but I did notice less hair shedding. :) Oooooo . . . I'm sure that will be very pretty. :) I'm thinking about it too, but not sure if I want to make the leap. lol I do hear you should dye it in stages, plus the hairdresser will use Olaplex 1 and 2 on your hair for additional protection for your hair. I would say it doesn't hurt to start using it before you dye your hair because it will strengthen your hair. Hope that helps and good luck on going blonde!! :)

Gleamy Gleamy Glam Glam So, how do you like numbers 4 and 5 shampoo and conditioner? Does it really complement the number 3 that much? Your hair is beautiful BTW❣️
@GleamyGleamyGlamGlam
5 жыл бұрын
@@abriyahyasha-rahla2656 I really love the conditioner. The shampoo was ok. It lathers good, but for some reason it makes my hair a little hard. In all honesty, they are not must haves for me. But, I do use them when I use my no 3 b/c I purchased them. lol It's probably b/c my Oribe works so well for me, but I certainly would repurchase the conditioner b/c it's really good. I definitely think the conditioner adds to the process and I will continue to use the conditioner with the no 3. So, long answer, yes it does, but they certainly are not necessary to get the benefits of no 3. :) Sorry for the long response. :) Thank you, that's kind of you to say and thank you so much for watching! :)
