Don't listen to ANYONE who tells you A+ is not necessary. If you are beginning in IT, it is absolutely amazing information and intro to everything. I would then 100% do CCNA over network+ though.

There are many ways to gain knowledge and skills. I respect different opinions. Personally I have done CCNA over network +, but that's because I was working with cisco routers and switches. As cyber security analyst, you don't need to learn how to configure OSPF.

I think this is the best cloud role to upgrade from a soc analyst with 1/2 yrs of experience. A cloud security engineer is too much to learn for a cybersec guy.

I agree. Transition is much easier and you get to further learn about cloud. A cloud security engineer could be a next step if you enjoy infrastructure as code and development.

Hey @CyberCheck, Does SOC Analyst should know the MITRE ATT&CK Framework or what because I talked many SOC analysts and they are not aware about it and whether it is for them or not? So can you make a video on it so as SOC analysts what all things they needs to know from MITRE ATT&CK Framework?

Hello, I believe many SOC analyst you talked to might not even realize they have such knowledge. One of the popular interview questions for SOC analyst is to talk about tactics and techniques. It's very important to understand hacker objectives during attack. Other than that you will find on MITRE Attack website different software that hacker might use at different stages such as Metasploit, Mimikatz, Nmap and others. This said, just because someone is scanning network with a tool, doesn't mean it's malicious behavior. It might as well be an administrator. Therefore it's important to know different stages and try to find more evidence from the previous steps or the next one. I will put it on my list and make a video in the future covering this. How to use MITRE Attack practically and what is good to know for interview. For now here is a list of software I was talking about. attack.mitre.org/software/
