Rod bearing tang or oiling hole to cam is a good general rule of thumb to mention to be sure the rod is hung correctly.

This video popped up in my feed and assumed this was a new channel, it was only later I decided to look back through your past videos. You know what you're doing that's for sure. @@foxbodygarageamerica9382

Anyone using the ratchet type ring compressor is telling the world they are a complete amateur. Those things are rubbish. Get yourself a proper size to fit tapered ring compressor.

I don't think this guy is an amatuer. I think you are just an elitist ass.

We need more amateurs and not to insult them. I was a complete v8 amateur in 1990 at 19 when I rebuilt my first engine, a 302 windsor. It worked and not bore specific. I even asked my mechanic buddy for advice selecting aftermarket parts and another friend to weld in motor mounts for the i6/auto to 302/4 speed swap in my mustang. And a machine shop to deck and hone. Guess it's not too late to tell the world I am a complete amateur since we didn't have general internet and youtube back then. I even used the clamp ring compressor every day after school thruout the 80s during mowing season on briggs and strattons. Oh, the humanity! :)
