The man I'm dating .. we're friends and just over a year we've decided to see what a relationship would be like between us and he's spoken about having kids and getting married. I just keep thinking I love that we were friends first before even taking this next step. Best feeling ever.

I always want to be friends with someone first or let's say getting to know this person first before jumping into intimacy. I met a lot of people who want sex after 3 dates. I am like: "objectively, you are attractive. But I don't want to have sex with a stranger. I need to have some what deeper connection." So I got the lable of slow burner. 🤷 Most people just move on or feel friend zoned. Forever single. My last long term relationship has been more than 3 years.

1 friendship is Real no faking, truth of other person, strong foundation, no representative to fool you!! 2 Prevents toxic Relationship , eliminates the pressure of perfection be yourselves, no phoniness, staying for the wrong reasons kids, home, time invested, fear of singleness etc , 3 Not Clouded by LUST Lower Desires Don’t Lead this way Allowing VANITY EGO to Lead not Love to Lead look on the inside dig deep and see them with honesty realistic it’s an opportunity to be a friend, do not let cuteness compromise 10:57 your values of a good person,🙏🏻❤️

Idk why LUST is so bad. It’s just sexual desire, idk why yall think it’s a lower desire. I think it’s normal. I’m not acting like I’m in my high horse, thinking I’ll never want something out of lust. I’m not that virtuous. What matters is if you’ll STAY with her or not

what's the difference between friendship and relationship to y'all? and how do you navigate a friendship when y'all like each other? isn't any interaction you have "a thing"? ie, when y'all like each other and text each other, you're technically "talking"; if y'all hang out, it's technically "a date". so how would you avoid that?

If you and your "friend" can hang out with other people without either one of you getting upset.. that's a friendship. If someone is triggered... that person is seeing it as a potential relationship. If you both "like" each other and see each other as "dating", the foundation of building a friendship has been bypassed. A mutual friendship would not consider actions of "dating" or "talking".... Just like you wouldn't see it as "talking" or "dating" one of your "actual" friends. -Message from a 28 year relationship of ups and downs but always remained each other's best friend ... where we were friends first. Friends (with no benefits) for 2 years, dated for 10, married the rest. Josh and Sanah got it right.. and we are proof.

According to the Bible being physical is being more than friends, I think. So I guess temptation(being physical outside a marriage union) is stronger when there is a potential partner vibe. I had the same questions as you though...can it ever be just friends, and I guess yes and no as it can but it can easily turn into a potential for more, based on various factors I guess. (If you see a future with them, physical attraction). I guess answering you helped me answer myself. Thank you and all the best. Another thing is it can be difficult to have a/maintain a just friends vibe, at least for me it was, (unfortunately for me as it didn't turn into my fairytale ending and hurt me). I fell pretty fast for one man but it didn't seem mutual so I stopped seeing him to avoid continued heartaches. It broke my heart though. Ask God to guide you.

Hi Queen, perhaps if there is no physical attraction, it would remain not 'a thing'. Someone else told me this and it made somewhat sense to me, because it seems the men who were physically attracted to me did want 'more' -

Me and this guy started dating really quickly and I think he got scared so he broke up with me. I want us to get back together but I'm thinking maybe we should just be friends for now.. do u think its possible to get back to the relationship stage if we work on the friendship for now?

I find this video really helpful. I'm impulsive and impatient mostly because of my borderline personality disorder. And I want it all and I want it now. I've met a guy and he said he would like to be friends first and to me that sounded weird. Almost broke it off after a few dates. I realised I don't know how be friends with a guy. I like him a lot. So I don't know how to take his further.

Thank you so much. What a Great video !!!! I learned so much. All I can offer anybody today is basic friendship. I am a work in progress myself. If we can have a great friendship, we can have a great marriage. I like to keep life simple and basic because it promotes growth and progress. I am broken and I seek the same. Thanks for letting me share.

Hey guys ...... thank you for this talk. It brought clarity to the way I feel about a girl I like. I am sexually attracted but realise it's lust and not love. Getting a grip of myself, getting to know her and finding out if she feels thesame. If she doesn't.....that's cool.

Covid19 is spreading everywhere me and my friend can't associate with our friends. He is busy working hard. He goes to people homes to put in new floors paint walls, he does plumbing, yardwork etc. He does his jobs passionately. With the help of God I help him get customer. I want to communicate more as his cheerleader, bestie, support ,fun friend. I come at a loss for words because I don't want to say same thing over and over. What communication scripts you suggest for texting?
