I never saw the measurement for the boards, guess I just cut to fit container ?

Hey bud , I know it’s been years since you did this video . But do you happen to have like a cut list . For the size of boards you used

Trent4Fish, great content. I am in my shop right now, components per your specs laid out, your video up and running! Please advise how you made the mounting plate for the on/off switch. Plastic, sheet metal, aluminum plate?

I used the plastic tray that came with the utility box. Just cut a piece off with some snips.

What size wire did you run from motor to controller. I assume you made those leads.

Great instructions - one question - is the motor polarity sensitive? I found the same motor - is the red positive? I can't find any markings on the motor itself.

The motor is polarity sensitive. The off on switch is able to reverse the polarity. So it doesn’t matter which you connect to the motor. Just make sure the off on switch makes the motor turn the correct direction.

@@trent4fish Thanks - I made a few mods to my thumper. First, I used (2) 2" conduit hangars that worked perfectly for spacing the motor. Also, I mounted my controller with Velcro for ease of removing and dampening and used a waterproof strain relief connector to attach my power cable to the box (you might guess by now that I do electrical work). Can't wait to get out on the Tennessee River for a trial run - thanks for all your suggestions!

@@michaeljanssen2504did it help any in the tn river?

@@finnsnracks2085 Definitely - especially where the main creeks hit the river. Also, I use it where the flats drop off to about 15-20 feet. I find a slower pace is better than fast but it's more about what the fish want that day.

Is it just trial and error to determine the speed you need? Or is there one that pretty much works all the time?

Typically they are attracted to about a 40% - 50% speed thump.

Is the blue wire from remote control going to the adjuster switch, if so how do you attach it
@trent4fish
2 жыл бұрын
The blue wire is the antenna for the remote control.
I have it connected to one of the deep cycle batteries in the boat. I prefer Interstate deep cycle 12 volt batteries.
