So, back again - did the 20 minute walk and now this strength training. My arms are so slow to respond. BUT I did the plank for 30 trying seconds. Many thanks for keeping these workouts posted. I will move ahead one day to weeks 5-6. It takes some discipline to admit that I am not there yet. I for one enjoy and can focus on your instructions and counting -- you offset the body saying "what, stop this...you are done..."!

Congrats on holding the plank for 30 seconds…that’s great! It is a tough exercise. I’m so glad you’re doing the strength workouts. Trust me, they’ll get easier over time.

Week 3, day 1st of 2 strength training. I am such a beginner. These were hard. I use the weights that I have (1 and 3 kgs each). Thank you for continuing to make these work outs available. They are an important hook. Just start each morning. If I once start, I let the workout pull me to the end.

You are doing so well with consistently working out. You'll notice a change in your strength quite quickly if you do the strength workouts 2-3 times a week.

I finally did it today, it’s deceivingly easy the 1 lb weights, I didn’t quite like the speed of it kinda fast for me . Thank you for this video. Please don’t stop counting it’s never boring it’s guidelines to follow

Thanks so much for your feedback, Carmen. I should have expressed to people to definitely go at their own pace and slow down if needed. I will keep that in mind for future workouts for sure.

Searched for strength, found this, and woo hoo! Even though at a lower level than where I've advanced, you did a super job tiring out my arms. Thank you so much for all the choices you've made for us.

I previewed the workout and I thought I would be able to use my 5 lb. weights for the arms. Ha! I started with my three's and I was begging for mercy by the second round when we hold our arms straight out in front. I used my two's for the rest of the arms. It had been many, many years since I'd touched my 2 lb. weights! I was able to go pretty heavy on the rest, thankfully. Thanks!

Congrats on getting back to strength training! I think you'll be surprised at how quickly you'll build strength back if you do strength workouts 2-3 times a week. Kudos to you for being here and wanting to get stronger!

@@ImprovedHealth I've been strength training all along, but I'm used to doing lower reps and fewer sets with heavier weights. It just goes to show me that I need to incorporate light weight, high rep workouts to improve my endurance. Slow, heavy reps is my happy place, but I'll try to work in some high rep workouts in my routine.

Awesome strength training session Jules. I love your voice and your temp and your counting is never ever annoying 😊 This has nothing to do with the workout itself but I love your leggings!! They are so beautiful ❤️ Do you know where you got them? I swear you need to start a clothing line 💖

Thanks Mala:) All of the leggings in my workouts that are a little bit different (with the colourful designs) are from a market I went to in Halifax. This was my first pair and then I got in touch with the designer and asked her to make me more. They're reasonably priced and are super stretchy so they fit all sizes. OK Jules, I give up! Where is/are the video's for Weeks 1 and 2?
@ImprovedHealth
11 ай бұрын
This video is week 1 and 2:) It’s meant to be done 2-3 times a week for the first two weeks. When you feel ready after 2 weeks or so, you can move onto the next video.

Wait - this video says Weeks 3 and 4, and you also say that at the beginning of the video ?! Sorry, I’m confused.

Hi! I created one video which is meant to be done 2-3 times a week for two weeks. After you feel you have mastered the moves and the exercises, you can move to the next video (weeks 3 & 4) and do that video for two weeks. You can do the same workout for as many weeks as you want, but each video is a progression so move on to the next one when you're ready (likely after two weeks).@@jacqlege7231

Not trying to be annoying, we are grateful Patreon supporters of your channel, just can’t find the video you created for Weeks 1 and 2 for this series. The video where we’re having this exchange is for Weeks 3 and 4. Thanks for replying😊

You'll gain strength quickly. Maybe to start just use very light weights and do less repetitions for each exercise. Over time you will get stronger.
