Currently bulking is not my primary goal and I'm more interested in developing functional strength, athleticism, mobility, and general cross-modal performance. Still though, I do enjoy being built as much as the next guy, and I know it's something that a lot of you are likely aiming toward as well. To that end then, this video exists to share some of my top tips for bulking and adding mass.
I talk about how to combine compound and isolation movements (and how compound movements might not be the magic bullet they have been described as), I discuss the importance of maintaining a calorie surplus to activate mTOR, and I look at the psychological aspect of remaining calm in the 'rest and digest state'.
In short, you need to train hard, eat hard, then rest hard. Live like a lion by going all out then biding your time and conserving energy.
