Gonna try the Kamooki to try mimicking the burrowing minnow, I’ve tried the pin it on the bottom hasn’t worked but we have a finicky bunch of well fed fish I take the bait away all the time as well

Thats a great idea! In my opinion, as long as you stop at your limit, it doesn't matter how many rods you use.
