Well, I just did mine thanks again for the tips, only issue i had was couldn't get the nut off the other end of the positive terminal, was afraid of breaking something, I was able to wiggle the old batt out and the new one in even with that plastic junction thingy still attached luckily. It looks like an H7 could fit, wonder if anyone has tried, searches say h6 and h7 are same width and height, but the h7 is 1.4 longer, and there are stops on the bottom of my 2020 tray that sure look like they're about that far forward of the battery? Again best video ever for this replacement!

Excellent step-by-step video. Thank you, you made my GMC Canyon battery change easy. It sure ain't like the old days of removing the terminal cables and then the battery. I would add: step 0 - use an ODB II memory protector. When I disconnect the negative cable I use a plastic grocery bag to wrap the cable end and then I use a plastic wire tie to hold the cable away from the battery to be sure that it doesn't accidentally fall back against the terminal. I recommend getting a pair of oil-based battery terminal protectors. Finally, I use a 13/16 spark plug socket with a small mallet to tap the cables securely onto the new battery terminals (an old habit) and then tighten them.
