What type of pot are you using to strain the grease into. Is that a large Bain Marie or a vegetable inset pot? Excellent series of videos!

As with many so called Chinese dishes it probably isn't authentic but several of my co-workers at the time were as addicted as I was to it. LOL It had a brown sauce with thin beef slices, chesnuts, mushrooms and bamboo pieces. The sauce was nothing like beef/broccoli or Mongolian Beef but was so flavorful. I wish I could find the owners to see if they have another restuarant or share the recipe. As mentioned I haven't had for 15 yrs and can still remember how great it tasted.

1. How can I set up a Wok like yours? Who did it for you? Would he/she do it for others? 2. Where are you? Are you Chinese? You don't look Chinese, but you sure know how to make Chinese food! Great video!

I will have to try this as I now live about 35 miles from my favorite Chinese restaurant. I was already driving 17 miles one way as all the places closer served General Tso Chicken in a syrupy sweet glop. I have reviewed many recipes for this on you tube but none even begin to be authentic in taste. Btw have you ever heard of Beef Imperial, it has a brown sort of sauce with mushroom, bamboo shoots and is mild to very hot according to the drops of hot pepper oil 1 to 10. I got 10 to 12.

Sorry about the bad spelling and grammar. To be honest i'm way to lazy to use caps and proper grammar. Plus in my opinion I feel in one can judge another by the way you spell or the way you look or dress so to speak. The issue is not of my concern. Moving forward to commenting on my second viewing of this masterful clip. Could you tell me how much of what you add into your G.Tso sauce? also your cornstarch to water ratio? i want it to be the best damn General Tso i can make. nam myoho renge kyo

I would trust you more if you could pronounce the dish you are making! Contrary to whatever most Americans think, oyster sauce is not used in every damned 'Chinese' dish. And why is the only vegetable always broccoli, a vegetable few Chinese eat! WTF is 'cooking sherry'? You want rice wine. We never use pre-made sauces. Slowly dropping the chicken into the oil one piece at a time just means that the first piece in will be overcooked by the time you get the last one in! Around the 6:30 to 7:30 mark you become inaudible. Are you filming in a hurricane? I know General Tso's isn't Chinese but you don't even get the Chinese cooking techniques right.
