Great video Keith, thanks for sharing and teaching us how to do this! I love that you can wipe it off if you don't like it and start over

Interference colors are a lot of fun to play with. Loved your reaction after you added it. We should do a piece together the next time you come to a Pro Class. Good idea on the practice board with UTC on it. Hummm.

Hey Clara! Wow, the interference colors are so cool and so iridescent! I've been having so much fun experimenting and trying new things and yes, next time I'm at the RK3 Designs Pro Class we'll find some time to do a piece! Thanks for your comment :) .

Hey Keith! Nice demo! I like the techniques and have a couple to add: try using an eyedropper for a more precise deposit. Also, I've found depositing some metallic mica-powered solution into an already-wet puddle, then blown from 2-3 ft. away will cause the mica to form ridges ( aka veins ) around the puddle making for some amazing patterns once it's dry. Would be great to hear what you think after experimenting!

Hey, and thanks! Thank you for the suggestions and I will certainly give them a try. The applicator bottles allow me to be precise, but I will try the eyedropper as I hadn't thought of that. And I love the ridges you speak of, as they give a really cool layered and vein effect. And I agree with using the mica powder solution as the dyes can have a tendency to leave micro puddles (if I described that right). Thank you so much for commenting and your suggestions, and I will certainly follow up after experimenting! Thank you again, and thank you for watching and supporting my channel! Keith

Love your work it's amazing thank you. What I would like to know is where do you get the alcohol dyes? I only see the alcohol ink🤔
@kcdcdesigns
8 ай бұрын
Thank you! The alcohol dyes are made using Alumilite Dyes and some mica powders (Resin Arte works best) mixed with 91% isopropyl alcohol. The alcohol inks are not recommended because the colors fade very quickly.
