written pattern(doing this for my own reference but i’ll be glad if others find it helpful too) make magic ring and ch 3 round 1: inside the magic ring 3dc, make corner( 1 treble crochet), 3dc, 1 trc(treble crochet), 3dc, 1trc, 3dc ss into the top of ch4 (the first corner) round2: ch4, 2dc into that same stitch, 1 dc in the next 3 stitches , corner- 2 dc, 1 trc, 2dc (all in the same stitch) , dc in the next 3 stitches, another corner (2dc,tr,2dc all in same st), dc into next 3 stitches, another corner( yk the drill),again dc in the last 3 sts, 2dc into the ss of the prev round, ss into the top of ch 4 now repeat the process for as long as u want to make it bigger but the number of dc for the sides will inc as u go. for example round 3 will have 7 dc for the side.

Thank you so much for this excellent tutorial! I've come across so many videos where the creator either went too fast and had music in the background or spoke over the music they had in the video and it was very frustrating. You're video is absolutely perfect 👌🏽 no extra background noise and you work slow and explain the stitches which I do love. I would consider myself and intermediate/advanced crocheter but this is my first time working with granny squares. Thank you again! ❤

Good for you! And you’ll find KZitem very helpful. I began crocheting in 1973 and have learned many crafts but I keep coming back. I learn many new things and save what suits me to my crochet folders - for grannies, hats, tips, different people I like to follow, etc. Also, different methods work better for some people than others. So experiment some. And people hold there hooks in different ways. Find what’s comfortable for you. Okay, I’m not your grandmother so I’ll stop preaching. 😅 Have a blast!

i love you voice, sooo calming and peaceful. it relaxes me and i crochet better. One question though, i've done the third round but the work doesn stay nice and flat, it's a bit weavy..could it be the hook too small for my yarn? i used different yearn than yours but i thought the hook was good for it. also, at the beginning of the second round, the very first corner (half corner) has a big hole.. what could i have done wrong? thanks for the great tutorial!! i just got yarn back after months so i need to get back into the rhythm!
@AdoreCreaCrochet
24 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for your lovely words!🥰 I’m glad my voice helps you relax while crocheting! Regarding your project, it sounds like the hook size could indeed be affecting the flatness-using a hook that's too small can create tighter stitches. As for the hole in the corner, it might be due to not having enough stitches there or not joining tightly enough. Don't worry; these things happen to everyone! Just keep practicing, and you’ll get back into the rhythm in no time. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! Happy crocheting! 🧶💖

Hi!! This was an amazing tutorial and super easy to follow along. I do have one question- how do you get your seam to lay so nicely along the 4 chain (counting as first treble/ corner)?? Maybe I need to crochet the 4 chain tighter?
@AdoreCreaCrochet
Ай бұрын
Hi! I’m so glad you found the tutorial easy to follow! 😊 For the seam to lay nicely along the 4-chain corner, here are a few tips: Tension: Yes, crocheting the 4-chain a bit tighter can help the seam look neater and prevent gaps. Try to keep the tension consistent throughout. Use a Stitch Marker: Place a stitch marker in the top of the chain-3 to help you keep track and ensure that all your stitches are even. Block Your Project: Once finished, blocking can help even out the edges and seams for a more polished look. I hope this helps! Happy crocheting! 🧶✨

Superb easy to follow video. This video super help me with my first granny square. Anyway i want to ask if how did you weave the one that you cut at the end of the granny square. Its not included in the video. Thank you in advance.
@AdoreCreaCrochet
Ай бұрын
I’m glad to hear the video helped with your first granny square! 😊 For weaving in the ends, you can follow these steps: Thread a Yarn Needle: Use a yarn needle with a large eye to make threading easier. Weave Through Stitches: Gently weave the end of the yarn through the stitches on the back of the granny square. Aim to follow the direction of the stitches to secure it well. Secure the End: Weave the end through several stitches and make sure it’s secure by pulling it snugly. Trim any excess yarn. Hide the End: You can also weave the end through a few stitches in a different direction to make sure it’s fully hidden. If you have more specific questions or need further clarification, just let me know. Happy crocheting! 🌟🧶

If I use this pattern for a large afghan, will it start to slant? Or should I turn it at the end of the round?Thank You
@AdoreCreaCrochet
24 күн бұрын
Great question! If you’re using a super solid granny square pattern for a large afghan, it shouldn’t slant if you maintain consistent stitch counts and tension. However, if you notice it starting to twist, you can definitely turn it at the end of each round to help keep it straight. Just make sure to keep an eye on your stitches as you go. Happy crafting, and let me know if you have any more questions! 🧶✨

Hi, I've been trying over and over but don't know why my stitch count keeps going out on me. I always count my row before the next but all of a sudden I'm either got one to many or one less stitch.Any idea what I'm doing wrong ? Thanks.
@AdoreCreaCrochet

Hi! I totally understand how frustrating that can be. It sounds like you’re doing everything right by counting your stitches before starting the next row, so it could be a couple of things. Sometimes, an extra stitch can sneak in if you accidentally add an extra chain or work into the same stitch twice. On the other hand, a stitch might be missed if you skip over one or accidentally work into the wrong stitch, especially near the ends of rows. One trick is to use stitch markers at the beginning and end of each row to make sure you’re working into the correct stitches. Also, double-checking that you’re not accidentally increasing or decreasing (like accidentally doing two stitches together) can help. Keep at it-you’re doing great! If you need more help, I’m here. 😊

Can this solid granny square be made into a half solid if so can you explain please, thank you for all you help
@AdoreCreaCrochet
23 күн бұрын
Yes, you can definitely make a half solid granny square! It’s perfect for creating straight edges or filling in gaps. To make a half square, you’ll essentially be working in rows rather than rounds, and turn after making a triangle and then work back on the other side. I hope ths helps 😊 Happy crocheting!

And may i know if how many ply the yarn you used? Thank you.
@AdoreCreaCrochet
Ай бұрын
It is not specified on this yarn. Aran weight yarn typically has a 10-ply thickness. However, the term "ply" can sometimes vary by country or brand, as it originally referred to how many strands were twisted together to make the yarn, rather than its thickness.

Thank you vry much for your video tutorial. Pleae could you tell me how to join the crochet squares and to join as I go. Appeciate your helpl.
@AdoreCreaCrochet
23 күн бұрын
You're very welcome! 😊 I'm so glad the tutorial was helpful! To join solid granny squares as you go, here's a simple method: Complete one square: Finish one square completely. Start the next square: Work the final round of the second square until you get to the edge where you want to join. Join as you go: Instead of chaining in the corners, slip stitch into the corner of the completed square, then continue working the round. Slip stitch into the sides of the previous square where you'd normally chain. Repeat this for all sides you want to join, and it will give you a seamless connection! I hope this helps! Let me know if you need more details! 😊

he magic circle can definitely be a bit tricky at first. Sometimes it just takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it. Try making a few magic circles with different yarns to see what feels most comfortable. You can als use some alternative methods. @AdoreCreaCrochet
8 күн бұрын
I’m so sorry to hear you’re having trouble! 😭 It sounds like you might be having issues with the tension or placement of your stitches. Make sure that when you’re joining your squares, you’re working into the right stitches and keeping your tension consistent. To fix the line through your squares, you could try: Counting Stitches: Ensure you’re using the correct number of stitches in each square. Adjusting Tension: If your squares are too tight or too loose, it can create gaps or lines. Joining Method: Double-check that you’re joining in the correct places. If you’d like, I can help you troubleshoot further! Don’t get discouraged; you’re doing great! 😊✨
