That's not how you paint with a spray can. You paint by spraying side to side and you do multiple coats to ensure even coverage.

@@astanisystems actually multiple coats and even coverage is the opposite he was looking for, uneven makes it look great in this case... I see graffitti artists using cans like that all the time. If you want a full color dull panel then yeah...He did an awesome work and pointing out he only did it wrong and not recognizing how great it looks was not kind. Have a nice day.

@@DesignSomething Thanks a lot!!! Do you think using a (etching) primer makes sense when working with powder coated parts and should I do something different when painting plastics?

@@dahakamvl The best practice is to use plastic primer when you paint plastic and self etching primer when you paint bare metal or powder coated. For both after 2 layers of primer sand the surface a little bit. Also after you put the masking tape spray a light layer of clear coat spray to prevent the paint going under the tape.
