I made a floor length blazer similar to this with a thick satin fabric back in 2019. My first challenge was putting in the collar, which I ended up not adding, the darts at the back made moving my arms impossible and the sleeves were too short and I didn't have enough fabric to fix them🙆♀️🤦♀️. It gave me so much stress, I just threw it at the bottom of my washing basket and I haven't worked on it since. 🙈

You know, when someone asks you a question in the comments, don't just like it. Kindly answer. It's really off-putting and comes off as rude. Sometimes I go through your comments and I come across tons of unanswered questions that you've "liked" and left. I've asked you two questions in previous videos. No answer.

Hi Laura. Thank you for your message and constant support. I try to respond to as many comments as possible and have even responded to some of your past comments. I am one person manning majority of my work and it's not always possible to reply to every single comment. Thank you for your understanding 😊 xx Kim Dave

Just to point something out- the angled shape of the sleeve hem allowance is not random. It should be a mirror of the underarm line slope. It is best achieved by folding the pattern on the hem line and tracing the underarm line unto the hem allowance. When you flip the hem open, you will then have the correct angled shape.
