Very easy system. Much easier than having to check the marks on both sides. 👍

Motorcycle chain tightness varies all the way around meaning there is tighter spots and looser spots as it rotates around the 2 sprockets. The right way to adjust a chain is make sure it is in the proper range (between the two lines) when the chain is at its tightest spot. Otherwise if adjusted at a loose spot the tight spot may be too tight causing undue stress/wear.

Might rotate the wheel a few revolutions to insure uniform slack throughout the length of the chain buttoning up everything.

Yeah, i put mine in gear then roll it forward so the bottom of the chain is tight.

Thanks! Easy. Anyone know the tightening torque for the bolt release bolt?

I prefer it over the check both marks on either side of the swing arm.

Is it preferable to adjust the chain when it's warm, cold, or doesn't make any difference? Thanks in advance

I adjust when cold. Chain grease isn't as fluid and chain won't be warm/hot to touch.

Shouldn't this be done with the wheel on the floor, not in a stand?

I did this adjustment video per KTM's instructions. Doesn't matter in this case.

Shop manual says on the stand, but I checked and it's almost the same chain slack either way.

Included when you buy the ktm bike. Should be under passenger seat a tool bag.

Rottweiler sells it for like $15, just look in their tools section. Bought my SDR used and it didn't come with the tools.
