This is a documentary I made on the incomparable Toronto cartoonist Mike Constable. This was fun to make and fun to watch. Mike is political, witty and a colourful character in the community of artists.
No cats are eaten in this piece. The title refers to one of Constable's cartoons featured in the documentary. No cats were harmed... etc. by this cat-loving artist.
This was made before high-definition cameras were easily accessible so picture quality is different than today's standards. I've upscaled the original to HD size.
Camera works by Gregory Bennett, Mark Hamilton and me. I edited this at the Banff Centre of the Arts with their generous support. It was broadcast on CBC Rough Cuts.
