I am a martial artist and tore ligaments in my ankle and for years I would get recurring ligament strains. Was prescribed orthotics that cost a fortune and if not in my runners my ankle ligaments would tear. I recently started using a balance board for 3 x 1 min sets each leg every other day, tib raises leaning against a wall 3x15 and 3 x 12 sets slow calf raises off a step down for 4 secs up for four secs. Also kneeling with toes pressed into floor whenever you can and with instep into floor. My ankles calves and feet feel really strong. If I could pick anything I would train balance which is so easily bypassed but strengthens all muscles in feet. Hope this helps its definitely helped me out! Definitely look forward to a video on this by garage strength and posterior chain 💪😎

@@michealsmith1817I heard doctor huberman and Tim Ferris talk about tib raises for preventing injury and even jumping higher, good stuff hope you heal well bro. I’ve been doing martial arts for only a year now, but I am learning that strength training is very important for not just strength, but also preventing injuries.

@@michealsmith1817hi iam voldemort, and i have no nose, but telling you the truth,in martial arts, you need strong toes, fingers, foot(ankle),neck muscle, ,rotator cuff muscles, scapular muscles, tibialis anterior muscle, hip flexors ,make these muscles as strong as possible and you will never get injured, and become a honey badger,as a human❤

Great video. I particularly like the kettlebell crunch. Am thinking of modifying it by combining it with a single arm dumbell floor press. That way I feel would closely mimic a strike in MMA or a palm off in football. Thoughts?
