Calories in calories out for the win. Find the diet you can stick to happily. If that means only changing one facet of your diet at a time, then hell yeah. Starting a cut past few days sloowwly lowering my caloric intake wish me luck.

Good info for sure. Can you touch more on the carbs for lowering cortisol. As I have severe sleep issues around this matter. And can't seem to stay asleep ever through the night. Mental stress is quite low, but physically I'm very active jui jitzui 4 times a week, weights 2-3 times a week. On my feet all day for work. Been eating low carb carnivore for a while. Trying to add more carbs just still having sleep troubles. And am concerned about my longterm health as a result. Thanks

Ive been in the same boat before. I find when i drop carbs too low my sleep is totally screwed, i suspect its from developing a kind of reverse cortisol curve as a result of under eating and over training as well as having a busy somewhat stressfull lifestyle. He is totally right about insulin turning of cortisol cause whenever ive entered this state i know what to do. Smash 2 massive plates of pasta for dinner, that night i sleep like a baby as a result of the insulin reducing the cortisol significantly. Give it a try, if you have a really terrible sleep on tue night, have a carb binge as wed's dinner. If you sleep really well that night and wake up feeling good then you know which direction to head in.

Sorry, I completely disagree. Plants (carbs are plants) are full of toxins and anti-nutrients. I went from a size 18 to a size 8 by going carnivore. I lost all my inflammation, brain fog, fatigue, arthritis, aches and pains, depression when I went carnivore. I now lift weights regularly and I can do pull-ups for the first time in my life. I haven’t been sick since my body purged all the toxins when I started. Literally not even a sniffle in over 4 years. Animal fat is ESSENTIAL for health and balancing hormones. I’m carnivore for life. Never going back. Btw I’m a 55 y/o woman.

Not everyone is like you. 50% of my diet is carbs and don't have any of those symptoms you listed and hardly ever get sick. This video was about cutting calories, not about what foods are optimal for your body or my body.

Pure jiberish. The average person on a high plant food and therefore a high carb diet is thin. In all the large scale epidemiology the more fat people ate the fatter they are (Adventist health studies, the China study, etc) It's not even close high carb low fat it much better for low body fat, longevity and health. Mean BMI was lowest in vegans (23.6 kg/m2) and incrementally higher in lacto-ovo vegetarians (25.7 kg/m2), pesco-vegetarians (26.3 kg/m2), semi-vegetarians (27.3 kg/m2), and nonvegetarians (28.8 kg/m2). Prevalence of type 2 diabetes increased from 2.9% in vegans to 7.6% in nonvegetarians; the prevalence was intermediate in participants consuming lacto-ovo (3.2%), pesco (4.8%), or semi-vegetarian (6.1%) diets. Get a clue bro. There are hundred of thousands of people that eat high fat/low carb and are lean. There is a literally a comment right above yours from a woman who eats no carbs and feel fantastic.
