Gimbal walking requires both knees to be flexed. Your center of gravity will be lower that a normal walk. The foot will place on the heel and then roll forward. Do not let the body rise as you shift forward. The feet should be in a relatively narrow stance, so you are not shifting side to side with each step. You can gimbal walk forward or backward, depending on the shot. If you are shooting a side view, it is best to gimbal walk forward and turn the camera at a 90 degree angle.
