Once they get big enough to be planted in the ground make sure to plant them by a pine tree. Blueberries love acid. My grandfather planted 2 blueberry bushes in 1960 and they are well over 8 foot tall. We call them our blueberry trees. They grew so tall because he planted them next to a pine tree and down hill from their outhouse. Human waste combined with pine needles make for happy bushes. The berries grow to the size of a nickel and are super sweet. It probably also helps that we have an excellent water source that has been untouched by humans for over 30 years.

@@MrMikeT89 For awhile they looked really weak as they grew "tall" (5-6 inches) and were falling over. Now a few months later, more leaves finally coming in and they're staying up on their own. Don't know if has something to do with the potting mix which I read should be more acidic.

How to grow them in around 2 weeks? You should pick the seeds out of the inner blueberry after cutting it open with a knife. Then use a glass Petri dish, put in water and cover it with a piece of hard, transparent plastic. as soon as they start to sprout, even if it’s just a millimetre, plant them in the soil carefully with a tweezer.
